Becoming a fully qualified teacher is no easy feat; it involves overcoming many challenges.
Teaching internships play a vital role in helping future educators sharpen their skills and
develop their teaching capabilities. This experience helps student teachers prepare for the
responsibilities ahead and equips them for their chosen career.
The teaching internship spans a year and provides aspiring teachers with practical
classroom experience. It starts with participation in observation-based field research,
progresses through teaching internships, and concludes with supervised classroom
teaching. These experiences are designed to enhance competency in a specific area and
apply theoretical knowledge to real-life teaching situations.
This portfolio serves as evidence of the various tasks and materials I completed during my
internship at Abanang National High School. It showcases my understanding and growth
throughout the course by including Weekly Journals, Teaching Philosophy, Indexes, and
other reflective entries. These documents highlight my skills and development as a future
educator.
Furthermore, this portfolio illustrates that I have reached my goals and grown into a more
confident student teacher. I believe I have made significant progress and achieved the
objectives of the course. The contents of this portfolio also reflect the effort I have put into
fulfilling my duties during the internship.
