Rizal Without the Overcoat

The National hero of the Philippines, Jose Rizal, was portrayed here not only as
a brilliant writer/Hero but also as a normal human being who was labeled by some as
“Lolo” Being a grandfather to multiple children, we now realize that our national hero in
his most natural state in having picnics with family and friends or from drawing
sketches depicting a farting character, to having a picture of him throwing an orange or
a piece of bread to a colleague, seeing him in this nature is different but brings a new
light to how we see him, he wasn't so serious in every action he made, he knew how to
be one of us Filipinos, having a good time and sharing memories.

Jose Rizal: Buhay ng Isang Bayani

In "Ang Buhay ng Isang Bayani: Jose Rizal," the life of the national hero of the
Philippines, Jose Rizal, is portrayed, emphasizing his unwavering dedication despite
political oppression and personal sacrifices. Rizal's pursuit of education emphasizes
the impact of learning, empowering individuals to make a difference. It also sheds light
on the injustices of Spanish colonial rule, urging students to be critical thinkers and
advocates for social justice. Overall, the film serves as a reminder of commitment, the
value of education, and social responsibility, inspiring students to live up to these
ideals.

Jose Rizal; Landas ng Paglaya

I learned much from seeing "JOSÉ RIZAL: Sa Landas ng Paglaya." It was as
though I had a fresh perspective on Jose Rizal, our national hero. His revolutionary
prowess, which combined the power of ideas and language, was incredibly motivating.
The way his brother Paciano was portrayed touched me much since I don't think much
of how much of an impact he had on Rizal's bravery, as I have older brothers as well
who would sacrifice their good for me, blood will always be thicker than water and I
relate to this.

Virtual Walking Tour of Rizal’s Madrid

Dr. Ros Costelo's virtual tour shed light on Rizal's path as a student and
reformist, providing an insight into his time in Madrid. Seeing how his experiences and
obstacles molded him into the hero we know today was intriguing. The tour revealed
insights into Rizal's academic career and his distinctive approach to using literature to
advocate for causes. It was like a treasure mine of knowledge. The thing that most
impressed me about Rizal was his youthful ambition to make the lives of Filipinos
better. His tale serves as a potent reminder that bravery knows no age restrictions and
no boundaries in the service of his country.

GOMBURZA
The Cavite Munity is what started the revolution of the people against its
oppressors, as seen through the film; even if the three priests weren't the real
masterminds behind it, they became the beacon of the Spanish demise, they accepted
being oppressed even though not having a connection to it, they gave their people the
fire in their hearts to fight for them as they’ve become the living example of
misinformation.

Finding Rizal in a Time of Barriers

Jose Rizal, who had a significant impact on Philippine history, sensed our
country's immense potential. Generations after generation have been inspired by his
words, deeds, and vision of a unified Philippines. However, we must learn more about
his life, values, and contributions as children of today because they are the future of
what we perceive them to be. Accepting Rizal's legacy and realizing our heroes'
dependence would allow us to actively contribute to building a better country. Recall
that to advance and create our country, we must acknowledge our abilities, preserve
the principles Rizal displayed, and work toward the day when his vision of a thriving
and unified country is what he always dreamt of.
