About Uttaranchal University
The University came into establishment in 2013, vide Uttaranchal University Act, 2012(Uttarakhand
Act. No. 11 of 2013) as a Private University and is located in Dehradun, the capital city of the Indian state

About School of Liberal Arts


School of Liberal Arts was established in 2019 with an aim to provide students with comprehensive

National Institute for


The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual
the Empowerment of
Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyan an) (NIEPVD) is one of the Nine National Institutes
Disabilities working under the administrative control of the Department of
Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwDs), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and
Government of India. It was established way back in 1943 as the St Dunstan’s Hostel for the War Blinded for
providing rehabilitation services to the soldiers and sailors blinded in the World War II. This Centre was
further upgraded as the National Institute for the Visually Handicapped in 1979 and nally in October 1982, it
was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and acquired the status of an autonomous body.
The NIEPVD is undoubtedly one of the country’s prestigious institutions completing its glorious 78 years of
providing rehabilitation services to the visually impaired persons.
Department of Clinical and Rehabilitation Psychology and Research (DCRPR)When it comes to
psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy, the DCRPR offers comprehensive and integrative clinical psychology
services. During the formative years of the National Centre for the Blind (NIEPVD), a committee, comprised of
experts from the Government of India, recommended the establishment of a Crisis Intervention Unit at
NIEPVD, and from there, the Psychology Department was opened for civilians and military personnel with
visual disabilities. The department is responsible for human resource development and is the rst institution
in Uttarakhand to offer RCI-approved courses in clinical and rehabilitation psychology.
About the Conference
Inclusive education is a key component of promoting educational equity in the society. It is a fundamental aspect of
modern teaching practices, emphasizing the importance of accommodating students with diverse needs and
backgrounds in mainstream classrooms. From psychological perspective, this approach acknowledges the unique
needs of high functioning children with varied neuro-developmental and disability conditions and attempts to
provide them with equal learning and growth opportunities so as to integrate them as functional and worthy
members of society in future. The goal is to foster a positive and inclusive educational environment where all
students feel supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.
The present conference has been envisaged to explore and discuss various psycho-social issues about inclusive
education practices and to foster a deeper understanding of the psychological aspects of inclusive setting and
equip participants with the tools necessary to address the emergent issues and concerns effectively.

AIM
The aim of the conference is to share and disseminate ideas, research ndings, innovations, strategies, lacunas in
practice and policy concerns about inclusive education by involving psychologists, educators, mental health
experts, Government o cials and policy makers from diverse elds who may together offer useful insights and
deliberations for developing and promoting an effective and strategically planned inclusion system of education in
the country.

Kasturba Institute of Psychology Kasturba Society of Psychology Medicine functions as a unit of Kasturba Memorial Society at Greater
& Behavioural Medicine Noida, U.P. Kasturba Society is a Registered Society under the Society Registration Act Govt. of India
(KIPBM), Greater Noida since 2002. The Society works in the eld of Mental Health, Disability and Rehabilitation Sciences. It
provides psychological assessments, interventions and disability certi cation to people in need
through its OPD & IPD services and helps the new aspirants through its training programs. Besides the above, the society also provides community
mental health services and engages promotive mental health awareness initiatives. The society is also registered with the Department of Disability,
Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and also keeps conducting CRE programs in coordination with Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi. The society envisions
to promote psychological well-being in the community and also aims to support clinical exposure and trainings of scholars and students working in

Call for Abstracts


We invite abstracts for Paper presentations (15 minutes including Q&A session) or Poster
presentations (07 minutes). Abstracts will appear in the Conference Preview Booklet. It is on the basis
of the abstracts that delegates will choose which presentations, or which posters to view. Abstracts
must therefore accurately re ect the content of one’s presentation. In order to be considered for
inclusion in the conference programme, your abstract must ful l the following set of criteria:

Guidelines for Abstract Submission


Length of Title: Your title must be a maximum of 15 words.
Length of Abstract: Your abstract must not exceed 150 words.
Repetition of Information: You must not repeat your title or include any biodata in your abstract.
Repeat of Presentation: You must not have submitted this abstract, or a version of this abstract,
in any other conferences.
Presentation Format: We accept abstracts for the paper and poster presentations.
Formatting and Referencing: All the abstracts and the papers should be in accordance of
APA 7th edition.

Paper Presentation Guidelines


Research papers can be either empirical or conceptual. Presentations of empirical studies should
provide a rationale for the study, a description of the methodology, research results, conclusions, and
implications. Presentations of conceptual research should discuss an approach or a critical issue,
compare and contrast alternative approaches or issues, or provide signi cant or innovative
perspectives. Papers can be presented for 15 minutes. Those not accepted for paper presentations
may be considered for poster presentations. Abstracts for paper presentations should not exceed
150 words.

Poster Presentation Guidelines


Poster presentations provide an opportunity to showcase the recently completed or work-in-
progress projects or research. Posters will be displayed during a scheduled session at the
conference. Presenters will be asked to stand by their posters during these sessions to present their
work and answer questions. The minimum size of a poster is A1 portrait (59.4cm wide x 84cm high) and
the maximum size is 70cm wide x 1 metre high. An electronic version of each poster may be archived
on the conference website for future reference. Poster abstracts should not exceed 150 words.
