PROJECT TITLE
INTRODUCTION
My classmate and I were debating what shoe brand the students in our form prefer to
wear, both our answers were different. So, we decided to do our project on this topic.
This SBA leans into the reasoning behind their choices, including measures of central
tendency and data visualization. My group of four members will analyze trends in brand
loyalty and purchasing behaviors using the statistics. Ultimately, we aim to present a
detailed report highlighting the preferred brands and the factors driving these
preferences, enhancing our understanding of sneaker culture within our school.

Thirty (30) students from Form 5 were questioned about their preferred brand of
sneakers.
The students were questioned during the home room period, these questions below
were asked.

To find the results for this table, we separated the answers of boys from the girls then
proceeded to add them up. This gave us the total shown on the chart; the number of
girls were less, but not too far from boys. This shows that the final answers were not
gender bias.
● Nike: 24 votes
● Adidas: 0 votes
To find percentage:0 × 100 ÷ 30 = (0%)
● Puma: 4 votes
To find percentage: 4 × 100÷ 30 = (13.3%)
Diagram 2 shows Nike is overwhelmingly the favorite brand among the respondents,
with 80% preferring it. As you can see above, we used the information to find the
percentage.

Nike again, is the shoe chosen for trusted quality, preferred by 86.7% of respondents.
The responses are split, with a slight majority (60%) considering brand reputation as
important (46.7% "Very important" and 13.3% "Somewhat important"). However, 40%
feel brand reputation is "Not very important," suggesting that other factors like price or
style might hold more sway for this group.
Style is the most influential factor in shoe purchases, chosen by over half the
respondents (53.3%). Comfort is the second most important (26.7%), showing that
functionality is also a consideration.
DISCUSSION OF FINDINGS
Nike has very strong brand equity, and this should be utilized by running effective
marketing campaigns. The companies should focus on fashionable and comfortable
sneakers for their target group. Though reputation means a lot to some, affordability,
and good looks are what the students care about, and that is where the focus should be
to attract those who do not care about brand trust. Design and visual appearance
always play a significant role in purchase decisions, whereas comfort supports the

reasoning. Furthermore, active-ness and engagement via Instagram and TikTok, along
with informative YouTube, captures the subject audience.
The survey shows Nike to be the most preferred brand amongst students in form
5.
CONCLUSION
Based on the findings it can be concluded that Nike is the most preferred brand
amongst a group of Form 5 students.
