1. Calculate the area of a trapezium (2M)

2. The diagram shows a sector of a circle of radius 8cm. The length of the arc PQ is 6.4cm.

Find (i) the Area (2M)


(ii) The perimeter of the sector. (2M)
(iii) The angle of the sector (3M)

3. (i) The diagram shows a regular pentagon. AB is a line of symmetry. Work out the value of d. (2M)

(ii) The interrior angle of a regular polygon is 1710. Work out how many sides the polygon has. (2M)

4. (i) The diagram shows an isosceles triangle ABC with AB = AC. LCM and BCN are
straight lines and LCM is parallel to AB. Angle ACL = 56°.Find the value of x and the
value of y. State the reasons. (4M)
(ii) AB= BC and ABD is a straight line. Find the value of ‘x’. State the reasons.

7. Solve the Simultaneous equations : (6M)


(i) y – x = -1 (ii) 5x = 3(1 – y)

8. OL and NL are ladders leaning against a vertical wall NM. NM is 12 m long LM is 6.5 m.
Angle OLM is 49.5 degrees.
(i)Find the length of the line ON. Give your answer to 2 decimal places (3M)
(ii) Find the size of angle OLN in the diagram. (3M)

9. (i) An air craft flies equal distances South-East and then South-West to finish 120 km due south of its
starting point. How long is each part of its journey? (2M)

(ii) A cone has base radius 5cm and slant height 11cm. Find its Vertical height. (2M)

10. Without using a calculator, work out ( 23 ÷ 1 37 )× 1 15

11. Below is a rectangle. Angle DAC is 42 degrees. Side AC is 5 cm.

(a) Find the length of the diagonal line AC. Give your answer to 2 decimal places (3M)
(b) Using your answer to part (a) find the length DC. Give your answer to 2 decimal places. (3M)

12.The diagram shows a pentagon ABCDE. BC is parallel to AE and angle CDE is a right
angle.
Find the values of x and y. Give the reasons and you must show all your working

13. The diagram below shows parts of shape P and shape Q. Shape P is regular hexagon and shape Q is
another regular Polygon. The two shapes have one side in common. Find the number of sides in shape Q.
