Internship Guidelines

Online portal for the internship requisition and approval process has been enabled in SIS.
Students willing to pursue Internship must take prior permission from the department and TPO.
Students can submit the Internship application through easy SIS. Students must create an
individual application and Group applications are not acceptable.

Please go through the below guidelines before creating an online application for taking
approval

Step 1: Students need to apply via SIS and must take the approval at least a week before the
internship. After logging into the SIS, they need to click the "Industrial Training TPO" tab
on the left side panel in the dashboard and then 'New Industrial Training / Project' button
to start your application process. Students need to fill out their basic details, company details,
Internship period and submit the application. “Select Batch Other Student 1, 2 and 3” field
in the application form need to be left blank (Since we create an individual application)

Step 2: Students need to upload the company permission letter (Need to get approval from
company in letter head with office seal and official signature)

Note: This Step will be enabled only after step 1 approval is complete.

Step 3: Students are required to upload their internship completion certificate along with the
attendance report (TPO has prepared a template and will be shared with dept PDs), both
bearing an official signature and office seal. The certificate must clearly state the training
start and end dates, total training hours (mandatory for students who attended online) and the
mode of internship (in-person or remote).

Note: Certificate for physical mode of training must have officials’ physical (Wet-Ink)
signature with date and office seal.
General Instructions:
➢ Step 1 approval is mandatory before they start their internship
➢ Step 2 approval must be taken from FAs and Department Internship PDs before they
start the internship. Approval of HoD and TPO officials will be complete before the
internship end date.
➢ Completion Certificate along with the Internship Log Report (Template will be
available with Department Internship Coordinator) must be submitted for Step 3
approval within two days they complete the training and ensure the approvals are
complete within one week from the date they upload the certificate.
➢ All three levels of approval will be done by Concern FA, Dept Internship PD, HoD
and TPO.
➢ Requesting FAs, Dept Internship PDs and HoDs to check the company profile,
training period and ensure there are no applications waiting for your approval for
more than two working days.
➢ All the students must maintain a Logbook/Report and fill the description of Work
Done for each day and finally they need to get the report signed by their company
internship in-charge/official with office seal. (Accepted only if the physical signature
of the Company In-Charge with office seal is available)

Instructions for Students Attending Internship (Physical Mode/In-Person):


➢ Students are permitted to undergo internships during the summer and winter holidays.
Internship schedule should not coincide with the placement training (if any training is
planned for them – They can confirm this with department Placement Coordinator)
➢ Only final-year students are permitted to undergo Semester Long / One Year
internship, provided they have completed all the academic requirements. Semester
Long Internship or One Year Internship with stipend will only be permitted after taking
necessary approvals from department in-charges, HoD, Dean, TPO and Director
Academics.

Instructions for Students Attending Internships (Online/Virtual):


➢ Students irrespective of year of study are allowed to do online internships in Top
Institutes (like IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS…), Top Tier - I MNCs (Google, Microsoft, Intel,
HP, Dell, Adobe, Cisco etc) or in companies that are listed in AICTE Internship Portal
/ INTERNSHALA.
➢ If a student wish to do internship in a company that was listed in AICTE/
INTERNSHALA then he/she must mention the correct website link (in SIS application
form) that directs to the AICTE/INTERNSHALA notification page where the
company is listed.
➢ Online Internships through AICTE/INTERNSHALA/Top Institutes/Top MNC’s
cannot be accommodated outside the college hours and the Placement Training
schedule. (Not applicable for all the year students)
➢ Only final-year students are permitted to undergo Semester Long (through online) /
One Year Online internship, provided they have completed all the academic
requirements. Semester Long Internship or One Year Internship with stipend will only
be permitted after taking necessary approvals from department in-charges, HoD, Dean,
TPO and Director Academics.
➢ To earn One Credit, Students must undergo internship for two weeks and the duration
of the internship must be not lesser than 90 hours. Students who satisfy both the
criteria will only be eligible for One Credit. Internship duration in days and hours
must be mentioned in the Internship Completion Certificate.
