6. General Reflection about the interview (you as a group will answer this portion)
- As we reflect, the engagement we did in this activity has been a revelation and
challenge. Since Corporate Social Responsibilty is self-regulating , its broad concept
can take many forms depending on the industry where the business lies. It is an idea
where a business has a responsibility that exists around the society (Stobierski, 2021).
While according to (Making an Impact: The Benefits of Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR), n.d.), businesses who are responsible when it comes to society,
are essentially self- governing, building issues about poverty, diversity, climate
change, equality into their business mission. Also, Strauss (2024), stated that CSR is a
business model wherein these for-profit organizations use company resource to give
back to the society while still incorporating their goals. In a sense that these
corporations really put their mind into making a profitable way yet helping their
employees and the society, it’s great to know that these types of responsibilities really
exists inside their company. Our group delve deeper into the impacts of corporate
social responsibility to the employees, wherein they serve as a helping hand of the
company to reach the people making programs accessible to all sectors of society. The
Double the Donation (2024), stated that in the United States, CSR is not mandated, but
it is something that corporation do to improve their global and local communities.
Same as with our country policy, but there have been legislative efforts to
institutionalize it. One of the major benefit of CSR is to retain their talented
employees, since employees stay longer into their work and more dedicated if they are
aware that the company they work for is practicing CSR ( Team, 2023). Philanthropic
efforts such as, volunteering, being an environmental advocate, supports sustainability
and humanitarianism is a part of corporate social responsibility (Herrity, 2025). And
lastly, according to Benevity (2025), a company’s dedication to CSR isn’t just about
acing the requirements, it’s about standing for something and taking action to make a
difference. As we conclude in this topic, it gives us a good point of view that different
responsibilities applies in the field of business and it helps a lot of people who are in
need and deserve of help.
