WHY EDUCATION MATTERS

The honorable judges,

Distinguished guests,

Assalaamu’alaikum wr wb.

First of all, I'd like to thank the Almighty God, Allah SWT, for him we are able to attend this
contest. Secondly, may shalawat and salam always be delivered to our prophet, Muhammad
SAW who had brought us from the darkness into this bright modern era that we live in today.
And last but not least, I'd like to thank the judges for giving me the opportunity to compete in
this contest.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Asyah Arfia Izzhara, a 7th grader from SMP Negeri 6 Palu.

Today, I want to talk about something that affects each and every one of us: education. Now,
I know the word "education" can sound big and fancy, but really, it's just about learning stuff.
It's about knowing things that help us make sense of the world around us.

Think about it: from the moment we were born, we start learning. We learn how to walk, talk,
and interact with others. Education is like the roadmap of our lives. It helps us navigate
through the ups and downs, the twists and turns.

But education is not just about memorizing facts or passing tests. It's about understanding.
Understanding how things work, why things happen, and how we can make things better. It's
about asking questions, seeking answers, and never being afraid to learn something new.
Education isn't just confined to classrooms either. Sure, schools play a big part, but education
happens everywhere. It happens at home, in the playground, on the streets, and even over the
Internet. It's all about soaking up knowledge wherever we can find it.

And you know what? Education is a longlife journey. It doesn't stop when we graduate from
school or college. It continues every single day of our lives. Whether we are reading a book,
watching a documentary, or having a conversation with a friend, we are constantly learning
and growing.

Now, I won't sugarcoat it. Education can be tough sometimes. It can be frustrating, confusing,
and downright exhausting. But you know what they say: nothing worth having comes easy.
The challenges we face along the way only make the victories sweeter.

But here's the thing: education is not just about individual success. It's about making the
world a better place for everyone. When we educate ourselves, we become better equipped to
tackle the problems that face our society. Whether it's climate change, poverty, or inequality,
education gives us the tools to create positive change.

So, never take education for granted. Let's cherish it, nurture it, and pass it on to the next
generation like a precious heirloom. Because when we invest in education, we are not just
building a brighter future, we are laying the foundation for success. So, let's continue to value
the gift of learning.

so, the main point of my speech is education helps us learn and grow throughout life. It gives
us the tools to handle challenges, make things better, and create a brighter future for
everyone.

Thank you very much for listening to my speech.

Wassalaamu’alaikum wr wb.
