1. Please tell me about your family.
Of course! My family has 5 members: my parents, two sisters, and me. My parent are farmers, and they work really hard to support us. My elder sister is a worker, while my younger sister is still in primary school. As for me, I’m studying SE at MTA. Even though we have different routines, we always try to spend time together, especially during meals. I really admire my parents’ dedication and the strong family values they have taught us. 2. Please tell me about yourself. Alright! I’d love to share a bit about myself. My full name is Truong Thi Lan Anh. I’m a fouth-year SE student at MTA. I’m an introvert who enjoys reading books, listening to music, and watching movies. I’m passionate about technology, especially web development and cybersecurity, and I love solving complex problems. My dream is to become a military engineer, contributing mu skills to defense and national security. That’s all about me. 3. Please tell me about your hometown/ the place that you live. Sure! My hometown is Cam Thuy, a district in Thanh Hoa province. It’s known for its beautiful landscapes and rich culture. A famous attraction is Luong Ngoc Fish Stream, where thousands of fish live in crystal-clear water. It’s also famous for nem chua, a traditional Vietnamese fermented pork dish with a unique tangy flavor. Though not a big city, it’s developing steadily. I love its fresh air and welcoming atmosphere here. 4. Tell me about a most famous place in your country. One of the most famous historical sites in Vietnam is the Ho Dynasty Citadel, which is actually in my home province, Thanh Hoa. Built in the 14th century, it was the political and military center of the Ho Dynasty. What makes it special is its massive stone walls, constructed without mortar, yet still standing strong after centuries. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a great place to explore Vietnam’s rich history and impressive ancient architecture. 5. Tell me the best way to travel around your country. The best way to travel around Vietnam is by motorbike. It’s affordable, convenient, and perfect for exploring both cities and rural areas. With a motorbike, you can easily navigate through traffic and reach hidden gems that cars or buses can’t access. Riding along scenic coastal roads or mountain passes is an unforgettable experience. Plus, motorbike rentals are widely available, making it easy for both locals and tourists to travel freely. So then, motorbikes are really the best option to travel around my country. 6. Tell me about your friend(s). I have a small group of close friends. We’ve known each other for years and share many interests, like reading, watching movies, and exploring new places. They are supportive, fun to be around, and always there when I need advice. Although we are busy with our studies, we still make time to catch up. I truly appreciate their friendship because they make life more enjoyable and meaningful. 7. Tell me about a member in your family. I’d like to talk about my mother. She is a farmer and one of the hardest- working people I know. Every day, she wakes up early to take care of the crops and animals, no matter the weather. Despite her busy life, she always finds time for our family and supports me in everything I do. I admire her dedication, strength, and kindness. She is my biggest inspiration. 8. Cloudy 🌥 Today, the weather is cool and cloudy. The sky is covered with soft grey clouds, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. I actually enjoy this kind of weather because it feels refreshing and not too hot. It’s a great day to take things slow, have a warm drink, and enjoy the cozy vibes. c. Rainy 🌧 It’s a rainy day today. The sky is dark, and there’s a gentle drizzle. Some people find rainy days gloomy, but I actually love them. The sound of raindrops is soothing, and it’s the perfect excuse to stay indoors, read a book, or listen to relaxing music. It makes everything feel more peaceful. d. Stormy ⛈ The weather today is quite rough. It’s stormy with heavy rain and strong winds. Honestly, I don’t enjoy this kind of weather because it makes traveling difficult and a bit stressful. However, staying indoors with a cup of tea while watching the rain can be quite comforting. Hopefully, the storm will pass soon. e. Cold 🌬 Today, the weather is freezing cold. The temperature has dropped significantly, and everything feels crisp and fresh. I personally enjoy cold weather because it makes me appreciate warm clothes and hot drinks even more. If I had the chance, I’d love to experience snowfall—it must be magical! 9. What is your favourite season. My favorite season is autumn. The weather is perfect—not too hot or too cold—just cool and refreshing. I love watching the leaves change color, creating a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. Please tell me about one of your good memories. One of my best memories was the day I got accepted into MTA. I remember checking the results with my family, and when I saw my name on the list, I couldn’t believe it. My parents were so proud, and we celebrated with a big meal. It was a moment of pure happiness because all my hard work had paid off. That day marked the beginning of my journey to becoming a military engineer, and I’ll never forget it. 11. What do you like doing with your friends? I enjoy spending time with my friends doing simple but fun activities. We often go out for coffee, watch movies, or explore new places together. No matter what we do, I always enjoy their company. 12. What do you like doing in your free time? I spend most of my free time reading books because it’s both relaxing and rewarding. I reviewed vocabulary, practiced speaking, and went through some sample questions to improve my confidence. It was quite intense, but I wanted to be well- prepared for today. After studying, I relaxed a bit to clear my mind before going to bed early. 14. What did you do on the weekend? Last weekend, I focused on preparing for my Aptis test. I spent a lot of time practicing speaking, reviewing grammar, and doing mock tests to improve my skills. Besides studying, I also took some breaks by listening to music and reading a book to relax. It was a productive but also balanced weekend, and I feel more confident for my exam. 15. Please tell me about your first school. My first school was a small but lovely primary school in my hometown. It had a warm and friendly atmosphere, with kind teachers and cheerful classmates. I still remember the big playground where we used to run around and play games. It was the place where I learned the basics, made my first friends, and created some of my happiest childhood memories. Even now, I feel nostalgic whenever I think about it. 16. Describe the room you are in. I am in a fairly large room, around 40 square meters, with plain white walls. The room is well-organized, with 50 desks arranged neatly, four fans, and two air conditioners keeping the space cool. Right now, I’m taking an exam along with other candidates, all working on computers. There are three supervisors monitoring us, ready to assist if needed. The atmosphere feels quite tense, as everyone is focused and serious about their test. 17. Describe your journey here today. I woke up at 5 a.m., had breakfast, and got ready to leave. Although the test center is only 3 kilometers away, I left home at 6 a.m. and took a short ride to get here. The streets were quiet, so the journey was smooth and quick. When I arrived, I had some time to relax and go over my notes. Now, I’m here, focusing on my speaking test and doing my best. 18. Your typical day? In the evening, I watch the news, then focus on reviewing my lessons. By 10 p.m., I go to bed to recharge for the next day. 19. What are you wearing today? Today, I’ve gone for a casual yet comfortable look. I’m wearing a plain white T-shirt, which is simple but classic, paired with black jeans that fit well and are easy to move in. To complete my outfit, I have a denim jacket on, which adds a stylish touch and keeps me warm. It’s a practical choice for a day like this. 20. When do you feel tired? Since I study software engineering, I often spend hours in front of my computer, especially when I have deadlines to meet. Staring at the screen for too long makes me feel exhausted, both mentally and physically. Also, lack of sleep during busy periods adds to my fatigue. However, I try to manage it by taking short breaks, stretching, and staying hydrated. 21. Describe a typical Vietnamese meal. A typical Vietnamese meal is centered around steamed rice, served with a variety of side dishes. There’s usually a main protein like pork, chicken, or fish, cooked with rich flavors. Fresh vegetables, a bowl of soup, and dipping sauces like fish sauce are also essential. The meal is not just about eating but also about family bonding, as we usually share food together. 22. What is your favourite kind of music? I really enjoy listening to Ghibli music. The melodies are peaceful and emotional, creating a magical and nostalgic atmosphere.
