Ideas for Using Regular and Irregular Verb
Bookmarks, Practice Sheets:
Have students find regular and irregular verbs in the books they are reading.
Have them copy them on the bookmarks.
Work with partners to think of regular and irregular verbs for the practice
sheets. Then answer the discussion questions about verbs together.
Have students complete a bookmark for each type of regular and irregular verb
patterns and then glue them into their reader’s or writer’s notebooks.
Have students create a regular and irregular verb practice folder and add the
bookmarks and practice sheets.
Have students find patterns for regular and irregular verbs and make a class
list of all the patterns they find. This could be an anchor chart that you add to
all year. They could also write the list in their own notebook for a daily
reminder.
