Guidelines for Minor Project Report
During the second semester each student shall undertake a project to be pursued by him/her
under the supervision of an internal supervisor to be appointed by the Director/Principal. The
project should preferably be based on primary/secondary data. Both the subject and name of the
supervisor will be approved by the director/principal of the institution. The minor project report
in duplicate along with one soft copy in a CD/DVD will be submitted at least three weeks prior
to the commencement of the End Term Examination of the second semester. Minor project
report shall carry 100 marks. It shall be evaluated for 60 marks by an external examiner to be
appointed by the University from panel of experts approved by BOS of USMS and for the rest of
the 40 marks by the internal examiner to be appointed by the Director/Principal of the institution.
Objective
Students of BBA / BCOM Semester IV are to write a Minor Project II Report (MPR) on a topic
of commerce or management
The academic objectives of writing the MPR are:
To inculcate the habit of self-study.
To enhance analytical ability by reading a new topic, formulate a cohesive picture and
convert the understanding of topic into a report form.
To develop ability of extracting the material from different sources and writing
comprehensively and exhaustive report on an allotted topic.
Chapter-I- Introduction and Company History: Under the chapter, brief introduction on
Formation of the company, Article of Association and Memorandum of Association.
Chapter-II- Vision, Mission and Objectives of the company: Under this chapter, students
have to write the purpose of formation and current status and future plans of the company; as
regards to these attributes.
Chapter-III-Market linkages: This chapter should provide the details of various kinds and
types of products being manufactured by the company. Study should discuss the total market size
under each category / product and market share of the company under study.
Chapter-IV-Financial linkages: In this chapter, company’s annual financial reports for last
three years are to be included and analysis to be carried out by the students. Students have to
observe the stock prices of company scripts for eight weeks on daily basis and record the same
with their comments on fluctuations. These details are to be included in the report.
Chapter-VI-Conclusion and Your Opinion: In this chapter, you have to give your personal
opinion, based upon the knowledge acquired during study on “Would you like to join this
company? If yes– Why? If No – Why Not?”

Appendices
The appendices are to be attached at the end of the report and to be numbered as Appendix-A,
Appendix-B etc. right justified at the top of the page. Below the world Appendix write in
parenthesis “Refer Para No__”. The para number is to be the number in the body of text where
the reference of appendix is given. An appendix may have annexure (s). If there are annexure,
there are to be attached immediately after the said appendix. The annexure are to be numbered
as Annexure-I, Annexure-II etc.

pocket pasted on inside of back cover.
Hard-Bound: No report will be accepted without hard bound in black and embossed with Silver
Color.
