The teacher will divide the students into five groups, and assign each
group to start at a different poster. Give them 2 minutes to write down
what they think belongs in that section, after the given time they need
to rotate to the next poster.
Example:
Introduction:
Key Points: Hook, background information, importance of the topic.
Example: “Did you know that over 90% of the world’s data was
created in the last two years?”
Thesis Statement:
Key Points: Clear argument, specific and arguable.
Example: “Social media has both positive and negative effects on
society, influencing communication, self-esteem, and privacy.”
Body Paragraphs:
Key Points: Topic sentences, explanations, transitions.
Example: “One positive effect of social media is enhanced
communication…”

Supporting Details:
Key Points: Facts, statistics, quotes, examples that back up claims.
Example: “According to a study by Pew Research Center, 70% of
teens feel more connected to their friends through social media.”
Conclusion:
Key Points: Summary of main points, restatement of thesis, call to
action or closing thought.
Example: “In conclusion, while social media can be harmful, it also
provides valuable opportunities for connection and expression.”
B. Establishing The teacher will provides a brief overview of the informative essay
Lesson Purpose structure, emphasizing the introduction, body and conclusion.
The teacher will draw three large sections on the board labeled
“Introduction” “body” and “Conclusion”, the teacher ask students to
raise their hands to suggest one component each part of essay (e.g.,
“Hook” for the introduction, “Topic sentence” for the body, “Closing
thought” for the conclusion). They will write their responses in each
section as they call them out.
