Figo

The ultrasound report for a 12-year-old male Pit Bull named FIGO indicates several findings, including mild hepatomegaly with a hepatic cyst, mild splenomegaly, and bilateral increased renal cortical echogenicity suggestive of chronic kidney disease. Additionally, there are hyper-reflective calculi in the left kidney and increased size of the prostate gland with cystic lesions. The report suggests clinical correlation for final diagnosis by the physician.

USG-Abdomen

Report : Abdomen Ultrasonography (Male)

Region examined: Abdomen Technique: Trans-Abdominal Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography revealed following observations:

Urinary Bladder: - UB found filled with anechoic fluid and is mild-moderately distended. Wall thickness
seen normal (approx. 1.67 mm) with smooth & uniform luminal wall architecture. There are medium to large
sized hyper-reflective calculi of sizes (approx. 1.3 cm X 1.2 cm to 1.4 cm X 9.0 mm) seen upon agitation
within the lumen.

Liver and GB:- Liver size is mild increased with rounded & well-defined margins. The parenchymal
echogenicity appeared isoechoic to normal and hypoechoic as compared to spleen with homogeneous
echotexture (i.e., normal hepatic parenchymal echogenicity). The portal and hepatic vasculature appeared
normally distended. CBD appears normal in course and caliber. Gall bladder seen normally distended with
normal wall thickness (approx. 1.39 mm). Mild echogenic biliary sludge seen. There is anechoic cystic lesion
seen of size (approx. 12.58 mm X 12.04 mm) within the hepatic parenchyma. Normal doppler blood flow
seen.

Spleen:- Dense, fine granular hyperechoic, homogeneous echotexture seen (i.e., normal splenic
parenchymal echogeneity). Size of spleen seen mildly increased with rounded & well-defined margins and
increased splenic body thickness (approx. 13.98 mm). No SOL seen in the parenchyma. Normal doppler
blood flow seen.

Kidneys:- The renal parenchyma appears distinct with reduced renal corticomedullary distinction (CMD)
more reduced in right compared to left. The cortico-medullary ratio (CMR) of right kidney appear decreased
(CMR<1) whereas left still appears normal (CMR ≥ 1). The left renal cortex is hyperechoic as compared to
spleen while the right renal cortex appears hyperechoic compared to caudate process of liver parenchyma
(i.e., Increased renal cortical parenchymal echogenicity). Size of left kidney appeared borderline whereas
right kidney appear decreased with decreased kidney length-to-aortic diameter ratio (approx. LK/Ao: 5.1;
RK/Ao: 3.1) and normal renal contour. Normal renal pelvis width (pelvicalyceal system). There is
hyperreflective calculi seen in left kidney of size (approx. 6.01 mm X 1.85 mm). Normal doppler blood flow

seen.

Adrenal Gland:- The adrenal gland is unremarkable.

Stomach:- Dark and bright rugal fold not seen. Lumen seen filled with admixture of fluid and gas. Wall
thickness seen normal (approx. 3.99 mm) with distinct gastric wall structural integrity. No hyper-attenuating
content seen within the lumen.

Pancreas:- The pancreas is unremarkable.

Intestine:- The small intestines seen filled with admixture of fluid and gas whereas the large intestine is filled
with echogenic content (faecal materials) and gas. Wall thickness of small and large intestine appears
normal (approx. 4.02 mm and 1.68 mm respectively ) with distinct intestinal wall structural integrity. No
abnormal distension seen. No hyper-attenuating content seen within the intestinal segments.

Prostate Gland:- Size seems increased (approx. 55.15 mm X 42.46 mm) with hyperechoic and
homogenous echotexture. The prostatic contour is well-defined. The parenchymal detail is fair. There are
anechoic cystic lesions seen within prostatic parenchyma.

Peritoneal Cavity:- No abnormal anechoic fluid accumulation seen in the peritoneal cavity. The parietal and
visceral lymph node is normal in size, echogenicity and echotexture.
Cystic Calculi.
Mild Hepatomegaly with Hepatic Cyst.
Mild Intra-luminal Biliary Sludge.
Mild Splenomegaly.
Impression: Bilateral Increased Renal Cortical Parenchymal Echogenicity with
reduced CM Distinction and Reduced Right Kidney with Borderline
Reduction of Left Kidney Suggestive of CKD.
Left Nephrolith.
BPH with Intra-Prostatic Cyst.

Suggestions/ Note: Correlate clinically and final diagnosis will be done by physician.
