SEMI- DETAILED LESSON PLAN

Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, students are able to;

a. Identify common unintentional injuries

b. Apprieciate the importance of first aid for sprain, cramps and heat exhaustion.

c. Demonstrate the proper first aid and procedures for sprain, cramps and heat exhaustion.

Subject matter:

Topic: Fisrt aid for injuries and emergency situaton

References: PE- 9, learners material pages 4

Materials: Visual aids, laptop, printed pictures

Teaching Procedures:

A. Preparatory Activities

2. Motivation

At this moment, I will groups you into 3 groups, So I have here some envelope containing varied of cut
pictures. For each group you have to fix or form and paste it on the board.

I will give only 2 minutes in each group in order to complete thhe task.

B. Presentation
FIRST AID- it is refer to medical attention th usually administered immediately after occurs an that the
location where it covered.

It covers the steps taken to help a person in the first minutes of illness or injury. Accidents or illness can
happen anytime, wherether at home, at work, at he school. FIrst Aid may ease someone pain or
discomfort.

This are the varied injuries that might be encountered in any physical activity.

SPRAIN- Is an injury to the legaments if the bone due to accidental over stretching.

sprain caused by stretching the legaments can tear partway or all the way, ligaments are tough, elastic
like bands that connect bone to bone.

CRAMPS - are sudden, involuntary contraction that occurs in various muscles.

When muscles cramps occur, when the ferson may feel a sudden tightening in the muscles. It may feel
as though they have flexed their muscles, even if they ate otherwise relaxed.

HEAT EXHAUSTION - it caused by loss of salt and water due to excessively high temperature. may lead
to heat stroke or even death.

So heat exhaustion is an condition that happens when the body overheat.Symtoms may include heavy
sweating and rapid pulse.Heat exhaustion is one of three heat-related illness, with heat cramps being
the mildest and heatstroke being the most serious.

Generalization:

To check if you really understand our topic, lets have a quick review.

The student will assigned in 3 groups to make a scenario to create a role play by applying and
demonstrate the first aid for given injuries.
