Learning and Migration Program (LAMP) empowers children at risk of distress seasonal migration by facilitating their
access to quality education opportunities, while building capacities of school teachers, and empowering communities
on the Right to Education Act (2009).

dignified work opportunities to underprivileged youth, marginalized women, and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), to
secure jobs, manage enterprises, and make a respectable living.
JOB SUMMARY
The position will lead all day-to-day finance operations at AIFT Eastern Regional Office in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It will
hold functional responsibility for bookkeeping and accountancy, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and
grants administration.
The role effectively supports the implementation of all financial policies and activities in the Regional Office. The Regional
Manager Finance will assist the Regional Director, East in financial management, financial reporting, budget monitoring,
and financial controls and compliances as required. The individual in this position must be able to adapt to a continually
evolving environment; demonstrating both, the autonomy and collaboration skills needed to advance AIFT’s purpose
and the leadership to inspire confidence of all internal and external stakeholders.
1. Financial Accounting
• Lead the forecasting and staffing planning for all projects within the region (for all kinds of employment).
• Verification of all bills and supporting documents and ensuring that all the payments are made in
accordance with AIFT standard procedures and help in communication on all financial issues to various
teams.
• To ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• To check receipt and payment vouchers & approve them post verification and in compliance with AIFT
policies and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out control and supervision to ensure timely payment of all office operation costs, e.g., rent,
electricity, water, telephone, internet bills etc.
• To regularly scrutinize the ledgers, cash balance, all imprest accounts to ensure funds are properly
utilized and accounting transactions are being correctly recorded.
• To maintain vendor records and payments.
• To liaison with banks for receipts, payments and transfers.
• Ensuring that all bank accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
• Maintaining and meeting the fund requirements at the regional office and the projects under the region.
• Ensuring management of filing systems and maintaining office records/registers
• Responsible for office cash maintenance.
• To closely supervise Finance Officer/Accountant at the Regional Office.
2. Statutory Compliances:
• To coordinate with AIFT National Office Finance department for the audit process both internal and
statutory and provide necessary documents and records.
• To support donor audits including addressing audit queries and to prepare reports and utilization
certificates for the donor projects as per terms and conditions of the grant agreement.
• To coordinate with AIFT National Office Finance department on any statutory compliances at the Regional
Office.
• Ensuring timely payment and deposit of EPF on month-to-month basis, co -ordination with the AIFT
National Office Finance department/PF consultant for filing quarterly and annual returns and for issuing
annual PF statement to the regional staff.
3. Grant Management & MIS
• Coordination with Regional Director, Program, Development and Finance teams in managing funder due
diligence, grants and contracts.
• Review of Financial reports and documents submitted by the partners.
• Processing of due diligence for new partners, signing of MOUs, liaise with National Office Finance
department to release tranches and final closure of individual partner grants online.
• Reconciliation of donor balances.
• To analyze donor agreements to ascertain usage of funds as per agreement with donor.
4. Project Accounting:
• To track all advances made to projects and individuals and their timely reconciliation upon submission
of bills.
• To coordinate with project staff for any financial queries/clarifications.
• To prepare donor reports /utilization certificates for donor reporting in co-ordination with program
teams.
• To conduct financial review of selected NGO partners and submit review report.
5. Any other need-based tasks/assignments given by the Regional Director or National Office Finance Department.
❖ Language requirements: Very strong command of English & Hindi (Regional Language will be an added benefit).
❖ Academic qualifications: C.A./ MBA in Finance / M.com
❖ Work experience:
• Around 5-8 years of experience in a supervisory role in finance and accounting function. Experience with a
not-for-profit will be preferred.
• Experience in MS Office, especially working knowledge in MS Excel and past working on any ERP software will
be preferred.
