3-7-3. Selecting Cables

Follow the below directions to select cables.

1. Use cables with insulating voltage that is higher than the unloaded voltage of power (O.C.V).

2. Do not use damaged or old cables.

3. Use cables with cross-sectional area of

10(mm²) for 15D model.

25(mm²) for 35D model.

25(mm²) for 50D model.

50(mm²) for 100D model.

 Do not use excessively short cables, since it may cause overloads.

3-8. Connecting Input Cables

Danger

☞ Make sure connecting input power, changing voltages and other works are done by a

licensed electronics expert.

☞ Use input power equipment (transformer, molded circuit breaker, fuse and cables)

that are appropriate for the rated capacity.

☞ Perform the works after breaking the circuit for input power.

☞ Make sure to check the current and voltage of power before and after turning the

power on.

☞ Be aware of and thoroughly read all the name plate or rectifier and user manual

before connecting power.

☞ The company is not responsible for any problems caused by disobeying the informed

input power, method and capacities.

☞ Make sure to connect input power as directed below and to use ground cables.

21
VER 3.0
2019.07

1. Input power shall be 3 phase, AC 440V, 60Hz.

2. If engine generator is used, use the one with over 3 times larger output than the rectifier Rated Input (kVA).

3. Install circuit breaker for each rectifier and use a circuit breaker and fuse with directed capacities.

4. The acceptable range of power voltage fluctuation is ±15% of rated output voltage.

5. Use a cable with cross-sectional area of 6(mm²) for 15D.

16(mm²) for 35D.

25(mm²) for 50D.

50(mm²) for 100D

3-8-1. Requirements for Input Power

3 phase, 440V, 60Hz of power is required to operate the rectifier and the power must not contain any

interferences (noise or high frequencies). To avoid influences from external loads, keep the power separated

when using.

Particularly, high-frequency operation or any other interferences occur while motor is driving negatively

influence the sync signals in the rectifier, causing abnormal outputs.
