SELF-INPUT FOR EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL (NAF)

Submitted by: Edemy Vallo

QUALITY/QUANTITY OF WORK
In terms of the quality and quantity of my work, I would rate myself highly, as I consistently give my best and provide
the highest level of care and service. For example, I ensure my newsletters are submitted on time and complete my
lesson plans two weeks in advance, ahead of the due date. I also allocate ample time for my team to plan and
conduct their observations whenever possible. Additionally, our classroom is always well-maintained, creating a
space that fosters a positive learning environment. Furthermore, during the submission of the NAEYC compilation, I
tried my best to complete most of the submissions, ensuring everything was properly compiled and included. During
the NAYEC observation, our classroom was picked and was graded a 9___.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/ADAPTABILITY
During my term as a lead, I've gained a wealth of experience, especially in terms of becoming more assertive and
decisive with my colleagues. Despite this, I would still consider myself excellent in my role, as I have a strong
understanding of the daycare operations, particularly when it comes to managing and caring for the children.

DEPENDABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY OF WORK
As the lead, I feel confident in my understanding of all my responsibilities at the daycare. Additionally, during the
submission of the Toddler Portfolio, the other two toddler classes lacked a lead, so I took on the primary responsibility
as the sole lead in submitting and completing it, with some assistance from Toddler A and C.
Sometimes, when the preschool area needs extra help to be able to handle kids, they are able to call me and I gladly
lend them a hand. Based on this, I would once again rate myself as excellent.

INITIATIVE
I would consider myself excellent in terms of initiative because I consistently take the lead in completing tasks without
needing reminders. If I have time in the morning and I know that the custodian is not present, I try to do the laundry,
even though it's not required of me. I also take the extra step of turning off any unused electronics in the room at
night, like the radio that may have been left plugged in. I would also sometimes volunteer myself to help with the
Preschool area if they needed an extra hand.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AT WORK

I would rate myself as excellent in terms of working relationships because I am always quick to offer assistance to my
colleagues when they need it. Additionally, I actively share helpful tips and feedback with others to improve our work
in the daycare.

CUSTOMER SERVICE/RELATIONS OF WORK

As I see myself as a warm and friendly person, I would rate my customer service as excellent. I always make an effort
to greet every parent and guardian I encounter, whether with a quick hello or a smile. This approach has led to
positive feedback from parents on our online platform, where they often compliment my cheerful demeanor. As
evidence of my positive relationship with parents and guardians, I recently received a message from the parent of a
child I cared for 10 years ago. The message included a photo of the child, now a teenager, along with a note from
both the parent and child asking how I’ve been and expressing their gratitude. Additionally, some parents have
mentioned that whenever they pass by the SBCDC building, the kids get excited, thinking they are going to visit
"Emy," which is the name my kids call me. During the weekends, parents have also shared that their kids wanted to
see “Emy”.

INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN/TRAINING OF WORK

I would consider myself excellent in terms of training at work. I have attended every training session without fail, and
all my courses are current and up to date.

PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
I would rate myself as excellent in program leadership because I consistently prioritize the safety of the children in my
care. By always placing their well-being first, I believe I have played a key role in contributing to the success of the
program, which I am proud to be a part of.
