ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

(i) B.E., M.Sc. Programmes Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination under the 10+2 system from a
recognized Central or State board or an equivalent qualification.
➢ A minimum of five subjects is required, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one Language, and any additional
subject beyond these four.
➢ Candidates must secure:
• An aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and
• At least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually.
➢ Both theory and practical components must be considered while calculating percentages.

(ii) B.Pharm. Programme


➢ Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination under the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or
State board or an equivalent qualification.
➢ A minimum of five subjects is required, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, one Language, and any
additional subject beyond these four.
➢ Candidates must secure:
• An aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics, and
• At least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics individually.
➢ Both theory and practical components must be considered while calculating percentages.

Admissions to all the programmes are subject to the conditions given below:
Students who are appearing for the 12th examination in 2025 or who have passed the 12th Examination in 2024 are
eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2025. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th class or its equivalent,
only his/her latest performance is considered. Additionally, the candidates must meet the following conditions:

➢ Students must appear for their 12th-grade examination for the first time in 2024 or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry,
and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects, provided their results are available by the submission deadline (June
30, 2025), as specified on the admissions portal.

OR

➢ Students who completed their 12th-grade examination in 2024 may reappear for improvement exams in specific
subject(s). The results of these improvements must be available by the submission deadline (June 30, 2025), as
specified on the admissions portal.

OR

➢ Students who retake the full set of 12th-grade subjects (in 2024/2025) are also eligible, provided their results are
available by the submission deadline (June 30, 2025), as specified on the admissions portal.

Important Notes

1. Academic Requirements:
Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology (PCM/PCB) from a recognized Central or
State board. The list of recognized boards is provided by the Council of Boards of School Education in India, COBSE.

2. Eligibility for CAIE and IB Board Students:


Candidates from the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) board must have completed the required
subjects at the A Level. Similarly, students from the International Baccalaureate (IB) board must have completed the
required subjects at the Higher Level to satisfy the eligibility criteria.

3. Eligibility for M.Sc. Students for Dual Degree:


The candidates who join in M.Sc. programme are eligible to apply for Dual Degree in Engineering at BITS Pilani after
completion of first year. This assignment is made by competition on their performance at BITS at the end of the first
year.

4. Eligibility for 2+2 Dual Degree under International Collaborative Programmes:


Candidates appearing for the BITSAT-2025, based on their BITSAT score, will not only have the opportunity to apply
for Admissions in First Degree (e.g., B.E. M.Sc., B. Pharm.) Programmes offered for the entire duration of the
programmes exclusively by the Indian STEM Campuses of BITS Pilani, but also will have the opportunity to apply for a
few selected 2+2 dual degree international collaborative programmes offered by BITS Pilani and a few reputed
International Universities in Australia and USA (e.g., RMIT University Melbourne; Iowa State University, Ames, USA;
University at Buffalo, New York, USA). These 2+2 dual degree international collaborative programmes initiatives will
allow students normally to spend their initial two years at the BITS Pilani campus in India, benefiting from cutting-edge
facilities and esteemed faculty resources of BITS Pilani. Subsequently, students admitted under this scheme will spend
the remaining two years at their chosen foreign university, providing access to a world-class international education.

5. Current Enrollment Restriction:


Students currently enrolled in any programme at a BITS campus are not eligible to appear for BITSAT-2025. Students
who have passed the 12th examination in 2023 or earlier are not eligible to appear for BITSAT-2025.
Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score
obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2025. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the
requirement of minimum marks in the 12th examination, as mentioned above.

6. Direct Admission to Board Toppers:


In the past, admission process of the Institute always ensured guaranteed admission to all the students who obtained
first ranks in their respective board examinations. This has given a very vital input of highly meritorious students from
all over India. First rank students of State and Central boards in India for the year 2025 will be given direct admission
to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2025 score as per the eligibility criteria. The detailed
eligibility criteria, application procedure, and prescribed application form will be available tentatively by third week of
June, 2025 at www.bitsadmission.com
