Why did
you make this investment? What has the outcome been?

- I successfully done Harvard University’s course CS50. The course help me understand the computers
working structure, how programming languages work? and how to write efficient and clear code?

-- What new skill would you like to learn? Why do you think this is important or timely or interesting? Why
do you think you will be good at it?

- I want to learn java programming language because java is a big language and using by many apps. I
think I’ll we good at it because I love writing code.

-- What kinds of software projects have you worked on before? Which operating systems, development
environments, languages, databases? That is not a checklist, just some suggestions of what to describe
you have worked with.

- I worked on projects with Python, JavaScript, and C. Also I worked in Linux and Windows. About DB
languages I worked with Mysql, Sqlite and Mariadb.

-- Would you describe yourself as a high quality coder? Why?

- No I just love coding.

-- Outline your thoughts on open source software development. What is important to get right in open
source projects? What open source projects have you worked on? Have you been an open source
maintainer, on which projects, and what was your role?

- I think open source projects is the cornerstone of nowadays modern systems. Open source projects
must be supported more and used by default. I did support some open source projects on github.

-- How comprehensive would you say your knowledge of a Linux distribution is, from the kernel up? How
familiar are you with low-level system architecture, runtimes and Linux distro packaging? How have you
gained this knowledge?

- I know how Linux works from the kernel. I was interested in the distribution packaging of Linux, that
there are different packages for each distribution. I learned this information thanks to my curiosity from a
young age.

-- Describe any experience you have with low-level embedded systems engineering, on Linux or other
embedded operating systems

- I have no professional experience

-- Please describe any experience you have working in operating system kernel internal components,
Linux or other. This can be device drivers, scheduler, network stack, etc, as long as it would be
considered part of the core kernel.

- I have no professional experience


-- How extensive is your experience with C? What type of software components have you used it in?
What about C++? Why would you use one over the other?

- I have had experience with C both as a hobby and in the courses I have taken. I also like c++ but I
prefer C because it feels freer to me.

-- How extensive is your experience of Python software engineering? How do you test Python
applications? Outline the applications that you have led in Python, and your takeaways from that
experience.

- Python is the first language I learned and the one I like the most. I like to open and read python files and
test them that way. I usually use python all the time, even in my daily life.

-- Do you have experience with Rust? If so describe you proficiency in the language.

- No I don’t.

-- Have you ever worked directly with ACPI, BIOS, EFI, and/or Devicetree? Can you elaborate?

- No I didn’t work before.

-- How did you rank in your final year of high school in mathematics? Were you a top student? On what
basis would you say that?

- I was in the top three in my class, and in the top ten in school, which our math teacher told me at the
end of the year when he made a statistic.

-- How did you rank in your final year of high school, in your home language? Were you a top student? On
what basis would you say that?

- Yes! I was the top student in my class. Not for sure, but I was probably in the top 3 in my school.

-- Please state your high school graduation results or university entrance results, and explain the grading
system used. For example, in the US, you might give your SAT or ACT scores. In Germany, you might
give your scores out of a grading system of 1-5, with 1 being the best.

- My high school graduation result is 88 out of 100, and my university entrance result is 390 out of 500. In
Turkey, the high school graduation grading system is on a scale of 100, with 100 being the best. For
university entrance, the grading system is on a scale of 500, where 500 is the maximum score
achievable.

-- Can you make a case that you are in the top 5% in your academic year, or top 1%, or even higher? If
so please outline that case. Make reference where possible to standardised testing results at regional or
national level, or university entrance results. Please explain any specific grading system used.

- In the university entrance exam in Turkey, I was ranked among approximately 150,000 out of 4 million
students. This places me in the top 3.75% nationally. The scoring system for this exam is based on a
500-point scale with scores reflecting performance in various standardized sections such as math,
science and language skills.

-- What sort of high school student were you? Outside of class, what were your interests and hobbies?
What would your high school peers remember you for?

- I was a fun and smart high school student. Many other students would ask me about math and biology
because they were my best and favorite subjects. Besides my real classes, I was practicing guitar and
learning coding. My friends probably remember me as a good friend :)

-- Which university and degree did you choose? What other universities did you consider, and why did
you select that one?

- I did choose web design and coding and I will choose another degree in this year which is "management
information systems" because I love coding. I did choose the Istanbul University because I live in Istanbul
and this University has a big success.

-- Overall, what was your degree result and how did that reflect on your ability? Please help us
understand the grading system for your results.

- My university entrance exam result was 390 out of 500, which placed me in the top 3.75% nationally out
of 4 million students, a ranking of approximately 150,000. In Turkey, this result reflects strong academic
ability because the exam is highly competitive and assesses skills in many standardized subjects,
including math, science and language. The grading system is based on a 500-point scale, with a
maximum score of 500.

-- During all of your education years, from high school to university, can you describe any achievements
that were truly exceptional?

- I was really good at taboo games :)

-- What leadership roles did you take on during your education? Did you conceive of, and drive to
completion, any initiatives outside of your required classwork?

- Mostly, I was the leader of the homework teams. I remember the ones that are not required. My team
and I were create a big green tree in the central of the school for against nature pollution.

-- Outline your thoughts on the mission of Canonical. What is it about the company’s purpose and goals
which is most appealing to you? What do you see as risky or unappealing?

- the best attraction is that it offers really good services for free. I can’t think of a bad situation.

-- Who are Canonical’s key competitors, and how should Canonical set about winning?

- I think Canonical’s most important competitors are microsoft and apple. To beat them, it is important to
make products more compatible and bring them by default.
-- Why do you most want to work for Canonical?

- My first linux OS is ubuntu and I learned all the linux systems because of ubuntu. So I want to work for
with my childhood friend.

-- What would you most want to change about Canonical?

- Social media. I think Cannonical is not using it effectively

-- What gets you most excited about this role?

- Write code and helping to devolop Canonical.
