Class Profile
They are 15 women. They are beginners, enthusiastic, eager to learn
new things. They get distracted easily.

By the end of the class the students will be able to describe the following fruits: Mango, pineapple, banana, strawberry, melon,
AIM apple
Previous Work Done Ss already know the some fruits.

Stage – Warm up

T greets students: Good morning ladies!!!... How are you today?...
T writes the date on the board. “Today is Friday, April 11 , 2025.”

T asks ss to stand up and explains the dynamic of the song


“We are going to do two claps on our legs an a snap with our hands, so we can go with the songs rhythm. Try to sign it with me, let’s
go!”

After singing the song, T ask ss to sit in their places.


Stage – Vocabulary (Presentation)

Specific objectives: To introduce new vocabulary fruits (Mango, pineapple, banana, strawberry, melon, apple)
Activity: Oral Visual Presentation
Aids / Materials: plastic fruit toys, flash cards, not transparent bag
Possible problems and solutions:
Ss may not be familiar with some fruits / See the pictures of the fruit

Procedure
T shows and elicits the fruit of Flaschard number 1 (Mango)
T:So, girls ¿What is this?
ss: mango
T models /mangou/ (T emphasises the pronunciation)
T asks for choral repetition. “Everybody please repeat”

T does this until finishing all the flashcards.


T backtracks constantly

T writes the spelling below the flashcards and asks for a last choral repetition.
T passes the bag with the plastic fruits with each ss and ask them to take out with their hand a
fruit
T asks “What fruit is it?
Ss reply
T does this with all students
VOCABULARY PRACTICE

Specific objectives: To explore and identify the characteristics of the fruit.


Activity: Fruit tasting
Aids / Materials: spoons, chopped fruit, handkerchief
Possible problems and solutions: Ss might not want to cover their eyes, so instead just close them.

Procedure

T shows ss the chopped fruits


T explains that they are coming to the front to cover their eyes, taste the fruit and guess witch one they are tasting (without
cheating)
T nominates one student to repeat instructions (English or Spanish)
T starts the activity by showing the first example with one student. (banana)
T covers the eyes of the first student.
T gives ss the fruit in the mouth with a spoon.
¿T ask ss “what fruit do they think they tasted?”
T repeats the activity with the whole class. Same procedure.
Specific objectives: To practice the spelling of the fruits vocabulary by writing on the board.
Activity: Board competition
Aids / Materials: markers and the board
Possible problems and solutions:

Procedure
T explains the activity
“We are going to divide in 3 teams”
T ask ss to give a name to their team and write it on the board (dividing it)
T explains that she is going to say a fruit and the first lady of each group has to go and write the fruit on the
board.
T gives a tick to the first one who finish and if the word is correct.
T nominates a ss to repeat instructions.
T gives the markers to two of the ladies
Ss play the game

After ss finish, revise spelling if necessary
