● Today we will learn how to add
numbers. Our today topic is
ADDITION. (Students will raise their boards)

Addition using pictures.

Direction: Try to analyze the pictures
and object then perform addition.
Each student will be called and will
write the answer on the board.

f. ) Motivation
“ Addition Adventure”
Direction : I will draw a simple game path
with squares on a large board or whiteboard
(like a race track or treasure map).

Each square will have an addition problem.

● I will divide the class into 4 teams

and each team will have their own
dice.

Rules:
● Students take turns rolling the dice
and moving their piece the number
of spaces indicated.
● When they land on a space, they
must solve the addition problem
correctly to move forward.
● If they get the answer wrong, they
stay on that space until their next
turn, giving them another chance to
answer correctly.
● Let's play! ( students doing the activity)

● Well done students!

● Now, Let's discuss our topic.

● Our topic is Addition. Let's define it.

Addition
- the action or process of adding
something to something else

● For you to understand it,

- Addition is when you put together
two or more numbers together to find
the total amount.
● Just like our drill, we add the apples
to other apples to find bow many
apples are there.
● Let's make it simple.

🍭
- Ruby for example have 3

🍭
Lollipops , and Anna gave Ruby 2
lollipops . The total of lollipops
Ruby have is how many? ● Ruby have 5 lollipops
● Very good students! teacher!
● Now that you know how to add basic ( students)
numbers, let's know the names of the
numbers we are adding.

● The numbers we are adding together

called; Addend.
● And the total number or the equal
called; Sum.
● The plus is what we called ; symbol

5 + 5 = 10
Addend symbol addend sum
A. ACTIVITY
Answer the given addition problem
and write it on your notebook.

1. 22 + 15 = 1. 37
2. 10 + 10 = 2. 20
3. 6 + 2 = 3. 7
4. 14 + 13= 4. 27
5. 5 + 5 = 5. 10
6. 6 + 10 = 6. 16
7. 7 + 4 = 7. 11
8. 1 + 7= 8. 8
9. 10 + 0 = 9. 10
10. 8 + 4 = 10. 12

Very good students!

A.ANALYSIS

● Now that we are done with our

activity let us dig into deep
understanding about our topic.
● You understand now how to add a
one number to another number
● You also know what are the parts of
the number adding to another
number and the total of the number
that is being added to.
● Let's recall it, the numbers that we ● Addend teacher
are adding together called?
● Very good! What do we call the total
number or the equal of the two ● It is called sum teacher
numbers that are added?
● Very good students!
● Based on the activities that we have
you can now add or you cannot
perform addition.
● Who will now learn how to
understand a problem and read it and
answer the following question.

B. ABSTRACTION

● In your chair I want you to open

your notebook and answer the
problem that I will give to you but
