Community Engagement

Community engagement is the process of disseminating information to the community and working to
foster positive interactions between the public and institutions or organizations.

Community engagement is the process of gathering and documenting information, using information
and human resources to promote, organize, select, and monitor the organization, and to create a
positive relationship between the community and the organization. Therefore, the members of a
community organization are building a foundation that supports and respects the values that contribute
to the development of the country and the surrounding community, culture, language, history, and
society.

The study of community relations is based on the community in order to strengthen and enrich the
relationship, to benefit, and to trust. The community relations are based on the development and
growth direction of the country and the historical sector of the community, using the important policy
directions, national conditions, as a starting point, and to participate in the plan or goal of benefiting the
community service by examining the starting point.

The community relations are organized by communities in Ethiopia and around the world.

These are organized according to different ideas. Accordingly, the community relations, culture,
indigenous knowledge, and historical art are an organization that creates community service facilities
based on the needs of the community.

In addition, the organization is designed to ensure the needs, growth, and continuity of the community.

The institutions are implemented by using things that affect the community to cheat, harm the
community, do not work honestly, and run for profit instead of working for the public. Based on the
information obtained in the investigation, the Senate of Enjibara University established the Agew
Ancient Institute on July 14 /2013. The Agew Research Institute is working with the authority and
function of studying, organizing, promoting, producing, developing and supporting the Agew language,
history, and culture. The Minister of Education, Enjibara University, has established the Agew Ancient
Institute on July 14 /2013. They have set a direction for excellence and are working hard to achieve this.
Therefore, the Agew Research Institute is working to create a context for students, teachers, and
supporting foundations within the community to create values and creative works that are beneficial to
the culture, language, history, and development of the country and the local community.

To see the community's culture and arts as a center of excellence in the field of indigenous knowledge.

Mission

: To study language and national history in a comprehensive manner; To organize and promote tangible
and intangible heritage; To facilitate technological transfer; To create a generation that is admired and
has comprehensive knowledge.

Their goal is to

use language, knowledge of the country, culture and history to create a basis for interaction or
connection in the community. They are providing advisory services on various related activities.

: Collecting, organizing and introducing new things;

Although they are working to have a good relationship, they have not abandoned their responsibilities
due to various problems. For example, if we refer to life, for many, they are not working on the change
of the society and the country, but on the basis of changing their personal lifestyle or serving only the
local community. For this reason, it is becoming unacceptable to many. In addition, many people are
passing through times when they do not respect their bodies and are being seen as different.
