Before attending an interview, you should
think about your responses to the following questions. Your answers may depend on the job or company in question, so you should go through your responses just before each interview. 1. Why do you want to work for this company? 2. What do you know about this company? 3. What interests you about our product (or service)? 4. What can we (the new company) offer that your previous company cannot offer? 5. What do you see yourself doing five or ten years from now? OR Where do you see yourself going from here? 6. What kind of position are you looking for when you graduate? 7. Why did you decide to apply for this position? 8. What types of pressures do you experience on your current job? How do you cope with these pressures? 9. What types of things make you angry? How do you react? 10. What qualities do you think will be required for this job? 11. What are some of the problems you encounter in doing your job? Which one frustrates you the most? What do you usually do about it? 12. Tell me about yourself. Why did you choose this type of work? 13. List three of your most important/proudest accomplishments. 14. What are your strengths and weaknesses? 15. What kind of work environment do you prefer? 16. How would you describe yourself? 17. In what ways do you think you can make a contribution to our department? 18. What two or three accomplishments have given you the most satisfaction? Why? 19.
