Redeemer’s University, a faith-based institution founded by the


Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), places strong
emphasis on spiritual development alongside academic
excellence. Certain groups and ministries exist in Redeemer’s
University in order to nurture students’ spiritual growth and host
various campus ministries catering to different denominations and
interests. Its central mission is the integration of faith and
learning, aiming to develop well-rounded individuals equipped for
both academic excellence and spiritual growth. A cornerstone of
this mission is the University’s Campus Ministry, which plays a
pivotal role in nurturing the spiritual well-being of its community.

The Chapel: Heartbeat of Spiritual Life

At the core of Campus Ministries is the University Chapel,


designed to unite staff, students, and the broader community in
worship and spiritual enrichment. The Chapel serves as a
sanctuary for collective worship, spiritual nurturing, and education
on pertinent life issues. Emphasizing principles and practices
drawn from the Holy Bible, the Chapel encourages worship in
spirit and truth, guiding individuals towards a deeper relationship
with God and their Christian faith.

Chaplaincy and Counseling Division


Overseeing the spiritual development programs is the Chaplaincy
and Counseling Division, led by the University Chaplain, along
with the Assistant Pastor. This division is responsible for
organizing various spiritual activities and providing counseling
services. The Counseling Department offers both group and
personal counseling sessions, addressing the unique needs of
each individual. Through morning devotions, mid-week services,
and personalized counseling, the division fosters a closer
connection between students and their faith.

Spiritual Activities and Services

The Campus Ministry offers a variety of services and activities to


cater to the spiritual needs of the university community;
1. Sunday Services: Regular worship services that bring
together the university community to praise and learn.
2. Morning Devotion: Daily sessions aimed at starting the day
with spiritual reflection and prayer.
3. Weekly Bible Study: In-depth sessions that delve into biblical
teachings, encouraging participants to apply these lessons to
their daily lives.

These activities are designed to encourage an intimate, personal


relationship with God, providing biblical teachings intended to
transform lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Additionally, student leadership plays a vital role, with positions
such as the Chapel President, currently held by Igina Paul,
respectively.

The Campus Ministry’s initiatives have significantly impacted the


Redeemer’s University community by;

community in collective worship and activities.

address personal and spiritual challenges.

Through these efforts, the Campus Ministry ensures that


Redeemer’s University remains a place where academic pursuits
are harmoniously blended with spiritual development, preparing
students to become leaders with strong moral foundations.

development. Ensuring that students have access to spiritual
