1. Pupils work in pairs and discuss the 3 things they spend most money on each week.
PRE-LESSON
2. Pupils discuss as a class by reporting back on what their partner said.
3. Pupils listen to aPulse 2 page 65 and listen and repeat the words in the word pool.
4. Pupils discuss as a class whether they have ever lent or borrow money.
5. Pupils move on to Activity 2 and read the text about a shopping trip.
6. Pupils work individually to fill in 9 gap fills using the words from the word pool.
7. Pupils compare answers in pairs.
8. Pupils listen to a CD recording and check their answers.
LESSON
9. Pupils go on to Activity 4 and read the questions carefully.
DEVELOPMENT
10. Pupils work individually to answer 5 questions about a shop or market in their own town.
11. Pupils listen to a reporter interviewing people in the street for aa TV programme and state the name of the
programme.
12. Pupils discuss as a class the name of the TV programme.
13. Pupils listen to the same interview again and choose 6 correct words for 6 sentences.
14. Pupils discuss answers as a class.
POST-LESSON 15. Pupils discuss as a class any recept shopping trip they went on and what they bought.
