Amendment of Thrusts a. Need for updating the thrusts came about when Sir Ron felt that that the thrusts did not equate the awards b. Teddies = OSA Service and Excellence Awards c. Before: Each member of the council nominated people for each award d. Last Year: Awards were changed ACTIVE and instead of the old system, each award was distributed to each cluster e. Now, were updating the thrusts because we want to update the thrusts, instead of updating the thrusts to conform with the awards f. Synergized i. Ser Ron: Integration should not be under synergized, because an org doesnt necessarily have to work with other orgs. ii. Martin: I think we should put it down iii. Jio: I think integration is a basic part of an org because what is the purpose of an org that doesnt contribute to the community iv. Clyde: I disagree, because I think that an org is there to cultivate the talents of people with same talents. It doesnt mean that an org that doesnt integrate is useless. v. EG: We arent really required to integrate with other orgs. vi. Miko: An org develops people first and then they start to integrate with others. vii. Elgin: Integration is not a basic part of an org. viii. Clyde: Integration is important, its just not a REQUIREMENT. ix. Vote to keep it as is: Miko and Martin do not raise their hands x. Martin: It can be updated to if possible xi. Clyde: Maybe we can reword it. g. Nation-Building: i. Ser Ron: Maybe we should make Nation-Building, Society-Building because it connotes more of service. ii. EG: Maybe Society-Building seems easier to do. iii. Clyde: It just looks big. iv. Elgin: Keep Think Philippines v. A NATION-BUILDING org advocates a strong sense of service and responsibility to promote and positively contribute to the development of Philippine society

h. Committed i. Ser Ron: No comment i. Christ-Centered i. Ser Ron: Maybe we should focus more on Alignment ii. CSO 10-12 Every org should have a sense of Christ-Centeredness iii. Clyde, EG, Jap: It should be in the center, or in the spotlight. iv. Does it have to be Catholic? v. A CHRIST-CENTERED org ensures that its program and set of activities are based on the Catholic faith, the Jesuit teachings, and ultimately the life of Christ. j. Empowering i. Ser Ron: No comment. k. Driven i. Ser Ron: Say a driven org is always busy and never idle. ii. A DRIVEN org has a clear vision and set of objectives rooted in a deep understanding of its unique sense of identity, and has a program that is aligned with these l. Synched vs. 4-Fold Thrust i. Al: Easier to remember ii. Matthew: I like Synched because its easier to remember. iii. EG: Easier to memorize and its catchy, easier to sell to the students iv. Miko: Shorter, condensed but still says what we want to say v. Clyde: Targetive; More direct vi. Jap: All of them are connected. Doing one part of it can do another part as well. vii.
