Operational Steps: As described by Nanfred Junius.

18-6-01. The from the bank purchased Degussa fine Gold (999 .9), was filed
to Gold dust with a file in the Evening.
19-6-01 The Aqua Regis, for the Dissolution of the Gold, was prepared in
Standard Manner, that is, 1/3 hydrochloric acid and 2/3 nitric acid were
poured together.
The Aqua Regis was then poured over the Gold dust in a 1 liter Flask.
(Two such Solutions of Gold in Aqua Regis were prepared)
The yellowish Liquid in the Flask slowly acquires a red colour, in the Flask
appear red-brown Vapours, the Gold fizzles in the Aqua Regis.
The Flask is then put out in the open in a Heating mantle, and slowly heated,
the reaction becomes more violent. It was also stirred several times, and the
Temperature slowly and continually raised.
After all the Gold was dissolved, we began pulling of the Aqua Regis.
During the Process a brown Rim formed in the Flask. The reduction
continued until finally a blackish Precipitate remained.
By further Heating with high Temperatures the unseemly blackish
Precipitate turned into a beautiful golden yellow Gold Calx, as Agricola
describes it in his text.
The next step consisted in pouring 10 ml Cinnamon Oil (from the Cinnamon
rind) over the Gold Calx, the Mass is then stirred.
Cinnamon Oil is an extremely sharp Substance, it irritates the Skin and has
a very strong Aroma. The Gold Calx thus turned into a porridge like mass.
After finishing these Operations, we poured 200 ml highly rectified Wine
Spirit upon the Gold Calx, that slowly turned yellow.
The Flask was then put in a Heating mantle with a Ball Cooler on top, heated,
and the contents circulated for 1 ½ hour. The Liquid took on a light rosy Hue.
Somewhat like light Rosy quartz.
After Cooling the Tincture was decanted, the Gold Calx dried, and ground
in a Mortar. Then again 200 ml fresh Aqua Regis was poured over the Gold
Calx.
Again the Gold Calx fizzled, but the Tincture appeared quicker than the last
time, and took on a deep red Colour.
Finally all Gold Calx is dissolved. The Solution is lightly opaque, and a slight
Residue appears in the Flask.
We now assembled a Distillation train with a sand bath and drew of the
Aqua Regis. Vapours were noticeable in the Laboratory and our Silver
Chains discoloured. The Distillate showed a red Colour, but was
significantly lighter than the Starting material in the Fractionating Flask.
Now the remaining Gold Calx was dried in the Flask outdoors in the Heating

Again the Gold Calx was imbibed with Cinnamon Oil, new Wine Spirit
poured over, and again pulled off in a Sandbath.
This Process was repeated a further two times, the Distillate was saved.
For the next Round, again Aqua Regis was poured over the Gold Calx, again
it foamed and boiled as before, also without Heating.
After dissolution of the Gold Calx, again the Aqua Regis was pulled of in the
open with a Heating mantle, and the temperature was raised to the

Mixture sit over Night.

The next Day the Gold Calx/Cinnamon Oil mix was ground finely in the
Mortar and put back in the Flask, the Mortar was washed with Spiritus Vini
-Wine-
A Circulation set up with Aludel was assembled, and the Contents of the
Flask was circuIated in a Sand bath.
At 8.25 the Heating plate was set at full Power.
8.43 the Circulation begins at 40 degrees, heater turned down to step 3.
The temperature in the flask (at that Time 50 Degrees) goes up further.
Slowly the jerking Circulation begins.
At 8.47 the Liquid boils, hotplate turned down to step 2.
The Contents boils strongly, temperature of Flask thermometer=76 degrees,
in the Aludel the Back flow becomes visible.
The temperature of the Flask thermometer now stays at 78 degrees.
After about 2 hours, around 11 o'clock, the Circulation was turned off, after
Cooldown we Stored the Flask with its Content.
Here ended our Labours with Aurum Potabile before our Seminar at Roztez
Castle in Tschechien, it was
III
The next Step was distillation of the circulated Tincture in a Distillation train
with Oilbath on an electric Hotplate. The Distillation proceeds jerkily,
therefore everything was fastened with Clamps, and the Temperature was
adjusted to 1 on the Hotplate.
Finally the Oilbath reached the Temperature of 120 degrees, the
Temperature in the Fractionating Flask was 79 degrees.
After a relatively calm Distillation phase followed again a jerking phase.
We kept on distilling until everything had gone over. During the last Phase
of the Distillation the Oil bath showed 178 degrees, the Thermometer in the
Fractionating Flask showed 98 degrees.
It was distilled to almost complete Dryness, only at the Bottom of the
Fractioning Flask, mixed with the Gold Calx, was still some Oil, which then
was drawn off to Dryness under open air with the heating mantle.
This Time the Gold Calx was blackish, not yellow-brown. It was then
ure.
Upon the Gold Calx 140 ml fresh Aqua Regis was added. Again it fizzled
forcefully in the Flask. After everything was dissolved, the Aqua Regis was
steamed off under open sky with the Heating mantle. The manifested
Vapours are partially red-brown, and partially milky-white. Finally the
yellow-
the Flask at high Temperature.
The so acquired Gold Calx was again drenched with Cinnamon Oil and
subsequently worked over in the Mortar.
Two small Samples were then poured into 50 ml Mini-Erlenmayers and
treated in the following manner:
Sample 1 Was drenched with Alkahest 2000
Sample 2 Was drenched with Wine Spirit, that had been distilled off.
On this place, an explanation of what Alkahest 2000 is, is appropriate.

It is an Alkahest of extraordinary Power that circulates at Room temperature

and violently attacks the Mucous-membranes.
It was made from Spiritus Tartari. Spiritus Vini, and Sal Armeniac, it was
circulated for the duration of 10 Hours.
The Spiritus Vini, that swam on the lower Part of the Mixture, pulled the

beneath the Alkahest.

The two Layers of Liquids did not mingle. Convinced of the Great Power of
this Alkahest, we tried to pull a Gold Tincture out of pure Gold with it. To
our surprise, we found that after almost a Year the Extract only showed a
faint yellow Hue.
Only with the convincing Results with the Use of this Alkahest in
Connection with the Aurum Potabile Manufacture brought the
Extraordinarily and Ability of this high Alkahest to our Minds.
We recognized that the Alkahest 2000 was destined for higher Works, not
for simple Extractions of the Alchemical Sulphur of Gold, that are achievable
with lower grade Alkahests.

which enabled us to Achieve the Production of the Aurum Potabile in the

Year of 2001.
If the Alkahest 2000 is poured over the Gold Calx/Cinnamon Oil Mixture
(as in the case of Sample 1), it immediately pulls a deep golden Tincture.
Only a small amount of Alkahest is needed to extract the Tincture from the
Gold Calx/Cinnamon Oil Mixture.
As the next step we then pulled the through the Alkahest sharpened Spiritus
Vini Tincture of in an Oilbath, it seems, as if some of the Sal Armeniac
escapes from the Alkahest.
There remains a red Oil that does not go over. This highly alkalic Oil (was)
filled (6) By the drying out of the remaining Oil in the Gold Calx naturally
something got lost, therefore, in the Future, we will extract the Residue with
Spiritus Vini and then reduce this.
The Gold Calx was then again extracted with the just drawn sharpened

For the last Time (fifth Time) Aqua Regis was poured on the Gold Calx. The
Gold Calx again dissolved and everything was again drawn of in the
Heating mantle, again red-brown and milky-white Vapours arose.
The Remaining Cinnamon Oil was added to the Gold Calx and some
Alkahest 2000 added, then Spiritus Vini was poured over it. A beautiful
Golden Tincture arose.
The Spiritus Vini with the Alkahest was distilled of, the remaining Oil
poured off, the Gold Calx was again poured over with Spiritus Vini +
Alkahest, and the Spiritus Vini/Alkahest was again drawn off.
The Oils and Oil-Extractions were now poured together and filtered. All
previous Extracts were also poured together and reduced in volume. All the
so reduced Extracts were then poured together and filtered.
A wonderful ruby red Liquid is the Result.
In clear Beauty the Aurum Potabile presents itself, it circulates by Hand
temperature.
To Complete the Work we reduced all the saved Spiritus Vini Extracts, in a
large Erlenmeyer Flask, the remaining Oil was then added to the Aurum
Potabile, thereby ending the Labour.
Siegfried will continue to work with a small amount of leftover Gold Calx.
Thus we have completed five Rounds of the Main Process.
To Celebrate the Day we drank Bubbly Wine and named our Aurum
Potabile:
SIMAGOR
