STEPS:
1. Determine the coverage of your exam. (Competencies)
The competency to be included in the test.
It is possibel that you will not be able to cover all these competency as it might create a test that is too long and will not be realistic for your students in the given time.
So select only the most important competencies.

2. Determine the duration of each area. (No. of Hours)


Specify the number of meetings (days, hours) spent for teaching a particular topic.
Go back to lesson plan, curriculum guide, and course syllabus)

3. Determine the total number of test items. (ex. 50)


There are prescribe no. of items depending on the grade level.
Sometines, it is the prerogative of the teacer or institution.
Keep in mind that certain type of questions required a certain length for students to complete an item.

4. Determine percent of test devoted to the content area.

6. Determine the level of difficulty and their percentage in the examination.

DepEd standard: PEAC


Easy = 60% LOTS = 30%
Average = 30% HOTS = 70%
Difficult = 10%

7. Determine the no. of items for each topic per level of difficulty.
