News From Room 207

Week of 3/19/12

Important Dates

The Spring Street Fun Fair is this Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 12-4pm. If you have the time, please stop in and enjoy a variety of activities while supporting our school. Unfortunately, I will be out of state with my daughter at a Volleyball Tournament but I am looking forward to hearing all about the Fair at our Monday morning meeting. Be sure to stop in and check out the Hula Hoop Queen, Mrs. Luby. I included a picture of us from last years Fun Fair. The picture always makes me smile! On Tuesday, we have our MCAS-Long Composition. Please be sure your child is well rested, on time for school and that he/she has a water bottle and a healthy snack for all test days. The ELA portion of MCAS will be the following week on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are well prepared and ready tackle the challenges ahead of us. We would love donations of mini water bottles and ice for test days. It will be nice for the children to have a treat. Sugar-free gum is also welcome. There will be no homework on Monday and Tuesday nights of this week due to MCAS. My hope is that your children will be able to relax and play outside after a long day of hard work.
