In Fayol's Principle of Management, order refers to the order in which
things should be placed—that is, every member of the organization should
be in its proper place. In essence, it refers to orderliness, or having a
designated place for everything. People can be included in this idea of
orderliness as well. There must be a request in the errands and work
appointed to the representatives. The work and the operation will only be
able to move forward in a smooth and effective manner if this consistency
is maintained. Even though Rajeev keeps his subordinates disciplined in
the given scenario, there is a waste of time and effort because the
employees are not assigned anything properly and there is no proper

broken in this situation.

Question Number 05: Bhatkaav Enterprises is facing huge losses. The
owner of the company is an MBA pass-out. Even then many things in the
organization are happening which are indicative of a lack of proper
management in the company. First of all, there is no specific sharing of
work, and any time any employee is asked to do anything. This has led to a
waste of effort. Further due to negligence in proper work sharing, there has
been no specialization development in the nature of the jobs done by the
employees. There are no clear and fair agreements between the workers
and the management. This has led to a lot of frustration among the
workers. Management has quite often been found to be ignorant of not
fulfilling promises done by it. There are also no strict rules and regulations
binding on the conduct of the workers. The departmental heads who are
the middle-level managers in the company and hold key positions always
favor their relatives. They quite often don’t turn up for the job on time. They
are always looking for special relaxation from the top management. This
has led to feelings of resentment among the employees who are also
demanding special favors and threatening strikes in the coming days.
Identify the three principles of Fayol violated in the above case.
Answer:
Discipline, work division, and individual interest subordination are the three
Fayol Principles broken here.
Principle of discipline: As per this rule, any association needs the discipline
to work well. If managers want their employees to be disciplined, they need
to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect. The established policies,
ideologies, and structures of the organization should be adhered to by all.
Division of work: Work division is based on the idea that if a worker is given
a specific task, they will be more effective and proficient at it. A multitasking
culture, on the other hand, assigns multiple tasks to an employee at once.
Subordination of individual interest: Subordination of individual interest is
the act of prioritizing the interests of a group or organization over those of
an individual. This could occur in a government, a neighborhood, or the
workplace, among other places.
