 Guidelines for applicants

❖ Requirements
A high school diploma or the equivalent is the minimum requirement for admission to Korean
language program.

❖ Required documents

❖ Notice for applicants

1. All documents should be submitted in the form of original written in Korean or English.
Documents written in other than English should be notarized after translated in Korean
2. If it is impossible to submit the original, certificate of comparing the copy to the original
or notarization should be submitted.
3. If the applicant passes the submission or admission documents in a fraudulent manner, such
as false entries and false entries, it will cancel both pass and entry, and not return the
tuition.
4. Submission documents (records) and admission fees will not be returned
5. If a person admitted to receiving admission is unable to enter the school due to inevitable
circumstances, or if he or she gives up, he/she returns the payment fees paid according to
the refund regulation.

❖ Apply General Student visa (D-4)
Students who wish to study for more than three months in Korean language courses need to
apply for visas from their home or foreign policy centers in Korea.

❖ Cancellation of registration (Refund)
The refund for the cancellation of registration is as follows

⚫ Before the begin of the term: 100% Refund

⚫ Within a week of the term: 90% Refund
⚫ Within 2 weeks of the term: 80% Refund
⚫ Within 3 weeks of the term: 70% Refund
⚫ 3 weeks after the begin of the term : Non-refundable

※ Application form for refund should be completed at the Korea Language Center's office.
Upon filling in the application form, you need to hold a copy of the passbook, a passport,
and a registration card for foreigners.

❖ Delaying class

⚫ Application for a delay to next semester is possible within a week of the term.
⚫ Certificate of tuition payment is needed on applying for a delay.
But when you delay class, you should attend the next semester.
⚫ If you fail to attend the next semester after the deferment of the class, the registration will
automatically be cancelled and the tuition fee will not be refunded.

❖ Credit

⚫ Students in the program may receive up to 6 academic credits When entering Seojeong
University.
⚫ completion of one semester : 3 credits
⚫ completion of two semester : 6 credits
※ Only for successful completion of all work and requirements.

3) Evaluation

- Midterm test : Thursday, 5th week of the semester

4) Completion Rule

 ❖ Part-time Job Guideline ❖

1) Part-time Job Basic principle of immigration office

⚫ Usually limited to activities in which students are generally employed
(e.g. simple labor, etc.)

2) For whom
⚫ As a holder of D-2, D-4-1, D-4-7, Person who received confirmation(attendance and grades) from a
person in charge of studying abroad
※ Elementary school, middle school, high school students are not eligible for a part-time job.

3) Allowable range and evaluation criteria

⚫ Whether the degree of work is within the scope of the study and the extent to which
it can be carried out in parallel with the study
⚫ Whether it is within a range of occupations that can be done by a student
※ However, private tutoring practices are excluded from the part-time job to protect
the uniqueness of teaching behavior and the protection of domestic employment markets.
⚫ Whether it is against good practice or other social order

4) Allowed Time
⚫ (College and language training courses) within 20 hours a week
