CELL-TYPES-AND-MODIFICATION

Cell specialization, or differentiation, is the process where generic cells transform into specialized cells with specific functions. This process occurs as cells mature from stem cells. Additionally, cell modification refers to changes that cells can re-acquire after division to enhance their functionality.

CELL TYPES AND

MODIFICATION
CELL SPECIALIZATION
Cell specialization, also known as cell
differentiation, is the process through which
"generic" or "common" cells transform into
specialized cells with defined tasks. Generic
embryonic cells differentiate into specialized cells
through cell differentiation.
Cell differentiation is the process by which
dividing cells change their functional or
phenotypical type. All cells presumably
derive from stem cells and obtain their
functions as they mature.
