INTRODUCTION :
 I greet students and start getting to know with them.Wh- questions:eg
What’s your name?
- Practice greetings and introduction.
- Practice spelling names of different pupils.
 Checking up previous knowledge through games. Find someone who ……..
 Introducing the key elements of the textbook. Modules.Lessons,Thinking Cap,Festivals,My passport
Introduce the characters to the pupils in the class.
Vocabulary –Check up on the previous list of vocabulary. Game. Hangman.

WARM - UP
Let’s start! Lesson 1
Introducing task 1
-First of all, I will explain the meaning of the grammatical use of articles a / an. ex: A is used before nouns
beginning with a consonant ex: a book, a pen etc.
An is used before nouns beginning with a vowel ex: an elephant, an umbrella.
-Later students complete exercise 1 using articles a and an correctly. I will check if they have
completed them correctly. To reflect on the uses of articles a and an I will write some words in
the blackboard and students will put a or an.
-Pair work-Each pair practices the six given questions on ex.1.Facilitating interaction with adequate
useful language for the answers.
Each pair performs the task and will be evaluated about it.
Providing a list of rules on the board about the prepositions in.on.at. as prepositions of time
Through various examples the students will fill up the table .

Then in exercise 2 the students will have to fill up with accurate preposition in,on ,at.
In order to check the use of adverbs of frequency the students will have to build a list of free time
activities and say how often they do them.Ex.4 will provide more useful vocabulary for this .

To reflect on the comprehension of this step students will play a game in exercise 2.

Providing a list of rules on the board about the prepositions in.on.at.under.behind
Through various examples the students will fill up ex.5
TPR. Showing objects in the classroom. I will write the sentences on the board and underline
the prepositions
-Telling the time. A song for a start. It’s seven o\clock in the morning …..
I will write six formulas on the board and ask students to build sentences based on this formulas.
Through various examples the students will fill up ex.5

To reflect on the comprehension of this step students will play a game in exercise 7.
Writing some of the sentences on the board .Providing examples on the use of a.m /p.m at the end of
the sentences.
