Good morning, Everyone

Welcome to the 1st poetry contest

Reading and saying Poetry aloud is a great way for English learners to
practice pronunciation and fluency, as well as a chance for students to
play with rhymes and language, in order to increase confidence and
fluency.

We’re glad to have all of you here and be part of this English activity
where high school students from 2nd , 4th and 6th semester will
participate.

Let’s welcome our specials guests and principals.

Miss Brenda Espinal Zenteno (high school Principal)


Miss Bety (Academic principal)
Doctor Francisco Gonzales Angeles (School Rector)

Let’s give them an applause.

We also have our three judges.

They will be checking all the requirements of this contest which are the
following:

1. Groups must maintain in order.


2. No talking or fooling around while and after presenting.
3. Body language
4. Articulation of the word sounds
5. Intonation, fluency, speed and rhythm.
6. Voice volume must be clear and consistent
7. Production: special clothes and accessories.
At the end of the three presentations just the 1 st place will be award with
a special recognition, and the two groups will receive a diploma for their
participation.

We ask the audience to be in silence during the group’s presentations


and clap at the end of the performance.

Congratulations to the three groups as well as their teachers who were


practicing with the students. I recognized their grade effort.
Let’s give some minutes to the judges to give their final decision.
