ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT OF SCHOOL INTRAMURALS

The School Intramurals at Tastas Elementary School, held on


November 23-24, 2024, was a day filled with excitement,
sportsmanship, and community spirit. The event was meticulously
planned and executed, providing students with a platform to
showcase their athletic and intellectual talents.

Opening Program

The day began with an opening program on the school’s


sports field. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as students,
teachers, and parents gathered to kick off the intramurals. The
school Sports Coordinator Mam Juvy P. Pontillas delivered a
heartfelt welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of
physical activity and healthy competition in the holistic
development of students. Following this, a guest speaker Hon.
Jeremy Prelligera, shared inspiring words about the values of
perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Hoisting of Flags

In a symbolic gesture to mark the commencement of the


intramurals, representatives from different student teams
participated in the hoisting of flags ceremony. The sight of the
flags fluttering against the backdrop of a clear sky instilled a
sense of unity and school pride among the participants.

Mass Demonstration Competition (Team Colors)


Teams representing different colors performed their prepared mass demos
showcasing creativity, coordination, and unity. The event was judged and winners
were announced afterward.

Search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2024


In the afternoon, students cheered as candidates competed in the much-
anticipated pageant. Participants showcased their talents, wit, and poise, and were
judged based on various categories. The event concluded with the crowning of Mr.
and Ms. Intramurals 2024.

The sports competitions commenced immediately after the


opening ceremonies. Students participated in a variety of athletic
events, team sports, and board games, showcasing their diverse
skills and abilities.

Athletics:

 Jumps: The long jump and high jump events saw


enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating
remarkable agility and precision.
 Runs: The track events, including sprints (100m, 200m) and
middle-distance races (400m, 800m), were highly
competitive, with students pushing their limits to achieve
personal bests.
 Throws: The shot put and discus throw events highlighted
the strength and technique of the young athletes.

Team Sports:

 Badminton: Both singles and doubles matches were played,


with students showing impressive agility and reflexes on the
court.

Board Games:

 Chess: The chess matches were intense, requiring students


to demonstrate strategic thinking and concentration.
 Spelling Bee: The spelling bee was a challenging and
engaging event, with students impressing the audience with
their spelling prowess.

Laro ng Lahi:

 Traditional Filipino games such as sack race, longest line


and tug of war were included, adding a cultural touch to
the intramurals and allowing students to experience and
enjoy these heritage games.

Closing Remarks and Awarding of Prizes

As the afternoon drew to a close, the school community


gathered once more for the closing ceremony. The school sports
coordinator delivered closing remarks, reflecting on the day’s
activities and celebrating the students' efforts and achievements.
She highlighted the importance of participation, effort, and the
spirit of fair play, irrespective of the outcomes.

In a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, simple


prizes, such as candies, were awarded to the winners of the
various competitions. The smiles on the students' faces as they
received their prizes were a testament to the joy and satisfaction
derived from the day’s events.

The School Intramurals at Tastas Elementary School was a


resounding success. It not only provided an opportunity for
students to engage in physical activity and friendly competition
but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and community spirit.
The event achieved its objectives of promoting physical fitness,
teamwork, and strategic thinking among students, making it a
memorable and impactful day for the entire school community.
