ECA
Considering the rising temperatures, we have made some important adjustments to our
extracurricular activities (ECAs) to ensure the safety and comfort of our students. Several
ECA’s will now take place indoors, with some permanently moved to indoor facilities.
The following new indoor ECAs have been introduced:
Chess (Years 7–10) – Wednesdays
Computing Club (Years 4–6) – Wednesdays
Chess (Years 4–6) – Thursdays
Should you wish to move your child from an outdoor ECA to one of the indoor options, please
email reception, and we will make the change subject to availability.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to prioritise the wellbeing of
our students during this warm weather.
Reminder: Wear your house colours on Friday, May 16th
Expo education workshops for years 1-6
The Expo trip is on hold. We look forward to working with the Expo Education Programme in
due course. If you have already paid, our finance team will organise reimbursement. Thank
you for your understanding and continued support.
Celebrating achievements
We would love to celebrate the amazing achievements of our students in the community. If
your child has participated in any sporting events, musical performances, or other
extracurricular activities outside of school, please send through any photos or details so we
can highlight their accomplishments. Let’s come together and celebrate the wonderful talent
and hard work of our students in Durham.
Parent lanyards
Parents are respectfully reminded to always wear their yellow lanyards.
Parents who do not wear their lanyards will not be permitted entry into the building during
pick-up or drop-off times. If you do not have a lanyard with you, please stop by the reception
area to register your details. There is a QR code available for you to scan and complete the
registration.
