Responsibilities & Activities


To order, receive, store and issue materials, supplies and tools, and parts; to input and tract data; and to maintain
computerized inventory controls records:
• Requisition, receive stock and issue materials, supplies, tools, parts and equipment utilizing a computer
purchasing and inventory control system.
• Verify articles against purchase orders or packing list and count and inspect materials for damage or
defects.
• Review potential vendor information required to register as PCWA.
• Research discrepancies in purchase orders and duplicate orders.
• Identify vendors and obtain quotes of prices for goods to be purchased; research new parts, substitute
products and pricing.
• Select proper storage areas and store articles in bins, racks, shelves, floor or yard areas.
• Issue materials, supplies, tools, parts and equipment obtaining, proper records and requisitions.
• Maintain controls of rental uniform stock and changes.
• Enter and retrieve data from a computerized inventory control system
• Track material usage and establish reorder points.
• Verify accuracy of truck and equipment mileage entries from onsite fuel system
• Encode fuel keys for vehicle and equipment and assign random security codes to employees.
• Ensure equipment fuel tanks are full and inspect fuel tanks weekly.
• Coordinates repairs and arrange for testing/certifications required by Country Air Pollution Control Board.
• Assist in reconciling work order quantities with inventory records.
• Perform weekly cycle counts, quarterly inventory, mid-year inventory, year-end inventory and physical
inventory and prepare year-end inventory reports.
• May direct the work of temporary assistants and train them in proper and safe work procedures
