TO ALL PID VOLUNTEERS:

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We were delighted to see such a large attendance at our PID Quarterly Meeting on September
23, 2022. For the benefit of all those who work with PID a recording of the program is now
available.

Quarterly Meeting: (link)

Please Note: Due to time, a segment by brother Alejandro Leon on Non-English Outreach was
cut from the Quarterly program.
This talk is now available as a standalone video: https://vimeo.com/7xxxxxxxxx

This meeting was produced especially for those who have been assisting with PID and should
not be shared with anyone. However, feel free to enjoy the program with your immediate family.

Thank you for all your efforts to support the work. We send our warm Christian love and
greetings.

TO ALL PID VOLUNTEERS

Dear Brothers & Sisters:
We are less than one day away from our livestream event looking back at the landmark U.S.
Supreme Court ruling in Watchtower v. Village of Stratton. As a reminder, as a valued PID
volunteer you and your household are invited to enjoy the program at the following link

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKfWhJpdnco

First of all, we would like to thank you for your prayers. We feel a calm right now that no doubt is
due, in large part, to the many prayers that are ascending on our behalf. We have also prayed
fervently for you. Without your efforts, we could not have come this far.

So, where are we? Well, you will be happy to know that as of Thursday at 7:55 PM ET, there are
932 registered for the program in the 11 states where the program is accredited and in the
country of Jamaica. Registrants include representatives from eminent academic institutions and
top governmental legal entities such as Attorneys General, prosecutor’s offices and jurists. In
fact, we just had a registration from Paris, France, who is licensed in NY as an attorney. This is
extraordinary and very unexpected. But frankly, the field teams led by the Assistants to the Local
Spokesmen have been working night a day to make this happen. We cannot thank you enough.
Once again, our PID team exceeds ALL expectations.

Also connected tomorrow will be brothers at World Headquarters and branch oversight, along
with WHQ Legal and US Legal Departments both at Bethel and in the field. They will have their
own feed. We also have heard from many of our teams that there a number of public officials
who will be joining the YouTube link. This is all to say that we have no idea how this program will
affect the branch territory, but the impact will no doubt be profound. We will let Jehovah and his
angels do their part now, because we have done all that we can to ensure that the program
brings great glory to His name. It reminds us of the words of Proverbs 21:1, “A king’s heart is
like streams of water in Jehovah’s hand. He directs it wherever He pleases.” Will Jehovah use
this program as a means to do that? We don’t know. At the very minimum, we have given him
something to bless.

We just met with our Branch Committee contact today, Brother Gary Breaux, and he helped us
all take a deep breath and leave it in Jehovah’s hands. Br. Breaux expressed appreciation for
the tireless work that has been done all fronts to bring this program to a reality. He is well aware
that the lion’s share of that work has been done in the field. He shared with us the account of
Judge Gideon in Judges 6 when the angel appeared to Gideon as he was beating out wheat in
the winepress in order to hide it from the Midianites. Through the angel, Jehovah called Gideon
a mighty warrior, but Gideon didn’t feel so mighty. He was breaking his back to just feed his
family and now Jehovah wanted him to save Israel. Verse 14 says, “Jehovah faced him and
said: ‘Go with the strength you have, and you will save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Is it not I who
send you?’” Jehovah was telling him to give it his best and He would do the rest. Br. Breaux
reminded us that PID has done everything in its power to make the program a success,
including relying each hour of each day on Jehovah. Now we must “go with the strength” we
have. Jehovah will do the rest.

We pass these words on to you and hope that they encourage you as much as they built us up.

Once again, thank you for the part you have played in bringing us this far. We have only
achieved this with the collective effort of our entire PID team. (1 Cor. 12:19-25) While we don’t
want to seem like we are prematurely declaring “victory,” we are proud of what has been
achieved up to now and we are confident to leave tomorrow in Jehovah’s gracious hands.

We want to extend our love and appreciation to all. Remember us in your prayers as we
continue to do likewise with you.
And their follow up email, with comments from lawyers in attendance:
TO ALL PID VOLUNTEERS

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We want to take the time to thank all of you for your tireless efforts in the weeks leading up to
the 20th Anniversary of the ruling in Watchtower v. Stratton. Jehovah’s clear support of your
efforts was the key to making the special livestream program a success on every level. This
program brought special attention to a victory that Jehovah made possible so that we can “go
on leading a calm and quiet life” while maintaining our obedience to the command to make
disciples. —1Tim 2:2, Matt 28:19

There is great benefit in reflecting appreciatively on what Jehovah accomplished through the
collective efforts of all. While this is far from an exhaustive review, the following highlights hint at
the massive scope of the project:

The peak attendance on the YouTube feed was 2625. According to our survey, at least 15%
were from our target audience of legal professionals, educators or government officials. It did
not go unnoticed that this number was far lower than many would have expected had this link
gone viral. We would like to once again commend you for not sharing the link with others. Your
obedience will ensure that we can do such programs in the future.
We conducted 13 simultaneous live streams, 11 of which were hosted (proctored) for 11 states
and the country of Jamaica for Continuing legal Education (CLE). The YouTube stream allowed
some media to see the program, along with others who were not located in a CLE registered
state. We also had a special Zoom Webinar stream for our internal audience, including
members of the Governing Body, Helpers, the Branch Committee and WHQ and U.S. Legal
Departments. The 11 CLE-approved states included New York, California, Wisconsin, Virginia,
Tennessee, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Texas and Arizona.
1,136 lawyers registered and were approved, 636 attended
Hundreds of PID volunteers in the field sent some 60,000 emails to our target audience in the
last 30 days before the program
Our LinkedIn team sent 143,400 emails from May 10 to June 16, 2022
There were 13,000 visits to our Legal Learning Studio website
100 different media stories on the anniversary appeared in print, radio, and television
As we reflect on these impressive figures, we realize that they cannot even approximate the
collective sacrifice of the time, prayer and energy that were invested into this event’s success.
We are confident that as we embark upon similar projects in the future, we will be in a better
position to identify how to approach the work in a more effective and efficient way that will
require fewer department resources.
We would be remiss if we did not single out a few groups and individuals who invested
hundreds of hours of their time into this project. Our CLE team was literally working day and
night to accomplish the work. Our Assistants to the Local Spokesmen (ALS) gave a maximum
effort. And our tech team was engaged nearly every hour of every day in the three weeks
leading up to the program. Thank you!

To all, we express our heartfelt love and appreciation for what you have done. Please extend
our thanks to your families. May Jehovah continue to bless you for the spirit you show.

Below please find some expressions of appreciation from non-witnesses who attended the
event.

Your brothers,
“I just finished watching your excellent CLE program… I thought the program was exceptionally
well done… Is it possible to get access to a recording of the entire program? We do similar work
here at ADF, and I’d love to be able to pass this along to some of my colleagues as an example
of best practices in terms of format, staging, use of pre-recorded videos, etc.”

"Interesting and well done presentation. I am interested in similar programming on other

landmark cases.”

Helen Rave
Assistant Attorney General
Office of the Attorney General of the District of Columbia

"While the case study focus was expected, the recap of strategies and the overview of the
development of this area of the law (the discussion after about 2:10 pm) was the most
interesting portion, to me. I find that placing individual situations into the historical arch of
developing ideas is the most insightful way of viewing the importance of those individual
situations."
Andrew Wartluft
Head of Instructional Services
(Law Library) and Professor of Legal Research
Penn State Law

"Good use of technology. Kept it lively and interesting."

James Baranowski
Director of International Affairs

"Very informative."
Kylie Conley
Judicial Attorney

"Use of the Supreme Court oral argument audio was a nice touch. It made the issue feel more
concrete. For future topics, I am interested in the status of the Chevron doctrine in
administrative law."

Ryan O'Rourke
Master Commissioner
Supreme Court of Ohio

"Thank you for the opportunity. I enjoyed the presentation. Loved hearing Justice Scalia's voice
again. I am interested in more free speech topics."

TO ALL PID PERSONNEL

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We are happy to inform you that our next quarterly meeting is scheduled for Saturday,
December 24, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. EST, as listed in the PID Strategic Calendar
found in the RCM Tool. We are, once again, hoping that scheduling this special meeting at this
time will allow more of our volunteers to experience the meeting live, while also allowing them to
have a meaningful share in the ministry on the same day.

The program will be held on Microsoft Teams as a live event. Members of your immediate family
are also invited to enjoy the program.
