BS- Mathematics
We provide a successful BS Mathematics Program for community development at Sukkur IBA University which
will prove itself fruitful by bringing change in the society. Limited access faced by poor people to quality education
in Mathematics and increasing rate of unemployment has resulted in many socio-economic problems in the
country. We strongly believe that by using modern mathematical techniques and targeting market and industrial
needs, BS Mathematics program can produce more positive results. Objectives for BS Mathematics include:
• To develop the quantitative skills of students
• To enhance the knowledge of students to move to higher levels of independent learning.
• To utilize Mathematics as a tool in various fields of Industrial and Applied Sciences.
• To provide quality education with modern and scientific tools so that graduates may possess global outlook

Apart from other Higher Educational Institutes, linkages are also established with Angel Investors/Venture
Capitalists to boost and create an entrepreneurial eco-system in order to produce entrepreneurs that will not
only create employment but will also help curb the socio-economic challenges faced by the local community
and on National level as well. Under following terms MoUs, tend to help our young aspiring entrepreneurs:
• To provide solutions for the development of a business/entrepreneurial acumen among the university students
• To create strategies and frameworks for catering to the entrepreneurial development needs of the students
• To provide incubation & co-working space for potential start-ups
• To provide assistance in setting up incubators or sustaining existing ones within university vicinity
• A non-binding commitment from BOV to provide access to finance/investment and online/offline market
linkages to viable business ideas
• To encourage, retain and develop business ideas with the help of training and mentorship to develop products/
services that provide financial empowerment to young individuals
Industry is a key stake-holder for any university and is the end-user of the university’s graduating student. In
today’s world, it’s most important to take industry on-board, which creates greater chance of getting hired for
the graduating students. These industrial partners share real time industry problems and look upon aspiring
graduates to propose a solution. In the meantime, this whole process grooms and develops graduating students
for the real-time professional setting.

Universities Building
a unique comprehensive remedial education plan called the “Talent Hunt Program (THP)”. The philosophy of the
program is “access to all”. The students with poor schooling, seeking admission for higher studies in reputed
universities face two challenges; first, they are unable to clear the entrance exam of good universities. Second,
even if they clear through quick measures and, somehow, clear the entrance exam, they hardly survive tough
grading standards of good universities.
Communities
Under THP, students are admitted after their grade 12 education in a six-month program to be rigorously trained
by qualified faculty of the university in core subjects like English, Mathematics and Computer. Under this program,
the students bear no tuition fees while also accessing free accommodation, transport, books and additionally an
amount of Rs. 18,000/- for semester stipend. Every student who is selected in THP and maintains a CGPA of 3.0, is
provided free education, books, and accommodation for the entire duration of the degree program.
The program has quickly become one of the most popular educational programs in the country and attracted more
Talent Hunt Program - Short Term Intervention than 12,000 applications for the 2016-2017 session. Sukkur IBA University believes that under THP these students
would be given remedial education for six months after their intermediate/HSSC education so that when they
enroll into the undergraduate programs, they are able to better cope with pressures of a quality education system.
IBA Community Colleges - Long Term Intervention We can now statistically prove from the past experiences that the program has indeed been very effective and
has produced the intended results which we desired from this short-term intervention leading to a conspicuous
success.
Summer Science Camp
Functions of IBA Community Colleges Summer Science Camp has become an annual activity for Sukkur IBA University since 2017. The camp has
been designed to impart inquiry-based science education to students belonging to under-privileged areas of
Sindh, and to inspire them to pursue science. The camp explores hidden potential among young learners to
University Role in Building Communities become future scientists and technologists. The students of class IX & X, studying in government schools of
Sindh, are the primary participants of the camp. The students are brought to Sukkur IBA University’s Community
Colleges (including IBA Public School Sukkur, IBA Community College Khairpur, IBA Community College Dadu,
IBA Community College N. Feroze, and IBA Community College Jacobabad) and are trained by highly qualified
National and International Linkages faculty of Community Colleges in five important subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and
Computer Science, through projects and practical activities.
Students are provided with free food, accommodation and a stipend for the duration of the camp. The 20-day
camp is concluded with a mega science exhibition at the main campus of Sukkur IBA University, in which top
Sukkur IBA Alumni Chapter projects are displayed by the beneficiary students.
So far, two phases have been sponsored by CDP, Government of Sindh. Through this program, over 70 government
schools have benefitted and over 400 science projects have been developed by beneficiary students. Sukkur IBA
University believes that it is through STEM education that the future of our country can be shaped.
In addition to these community colleges and public schools, Sukkur IBA University has adopted 03 government
schools under the public-private partnership where the quality education is being imparted at par with community
colleges. These schools have been equipped with modern science laboratories, computer labs, and libraries.
Additionally, they have been provided with meritorious staff.
Under this project, following schools have been adopted in District Khairpur:
1. Government High School Tando Mir Ali
2. Government High School Jajh Regulator
3. Government High School Karoondi
Currently in IBA Community Colleges and Schools, there are 11,678 students enrolled, 575 teaching staff and 232
non-teaching staff.
Universities Building
The engagement of community in schools have been promoted to a great deal. These schools are maintaining
equality in quality education both for boys and girls of the area.
