2017 Code Cart Updates
• A new neonatal code record was developed for use in the neonate up to one month of age. This is
located on the blue clipboard in the neonatal basket for use in all neonatal areas, ED or radiology.

• You will now find the rapid fill adapters (aka “red-thingy”) both in the med tray as well as the
needle/ syringe box.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP cards were updated to current standards
• By end of year 2017, the ambu bags will come packaged with peep valve and appropriate sized
mask. Four mask sizes will be available:

• new born mask
• infant mask
− Pediatric ambu bag with peep valve
• pediatric mask
• (obtain the infant mask from the infant ambu set when needed for pediatric patients)
