This report aims to inves/gate network security and privacy issues of any topic of your choice. For
this report, you can choose any topic within the scope of cybersecurity in general or more specifically
network security. Your report must analyse vulnerabili/es and threats in digital infrastructure and
present recent advancements to safeguard the underlying digital infrastructure. It must focus on the
security and privacy of users, services, service providers, and/or specific components of digital
infrastructure.

In your report you MUST include the following:

• Introduc/on to the topic along with your mo/va/on to select it.


• Literature review: You can use research papers, white papers, technical reports, and online
ar/cles for your literature review.
• Cyber and network security advancements: Carefully analyse your literature review and
highlight important facts and findings.
• Recommenda/ons for safeguarding digital infrastructure: Write using the knowledge you have
gained during the lectures and future reading about the improvements that can be made to
ensure protec/on from modern-day cyberaGacks.

• Your recommenda/ons can focus either on the whole digital infrastructure or its
specific comments and stakeholders i.e., end user, service provider, regulator etc.

• You can discuss systems, frameworks, protocols, tools, best prac/ces, government
regula/ons etc.

• List of references

Deliverable: A project report

For s/mula/ng ideas, you can think along the lines of the following topics:

• Cybersecurity issues with content delivery networks – ranging from simple file sharing to app
stores.
• Vulnerabili/es analysis of smart ci/es, considering smart city inhabitants, service providers and
smart city infrastructure as stakeholders.

• Any topic of your own choice inspired by your current role or research interests.
