Workshop Proposal
Workshop Session can be held during the SNA Conference: June 22-24, 2024
Venue: The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar Gujarat
Date: Monday, December 23, 2024 at 5:00 pm IST, In-Person Event

I. Overview
Humanity has been progressively working on innovating automation, or AI, which holds 10 times more capabilities
than humans. AI can be a breakthrough for the long-pending cases in court by analyzing the cases in seconds. This
workshop will provide an immersive experience into the world of AI and its applications in the legal profession.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of AI technologies, practical skills to utilize AI tools, and
insights into the future of AI in law.

II. Relevance to GNLU Students


The workshop offers hands-on sessions with AI legal tools, teaching students how to use software for tasks like
contract analysis, legal research, and case management. Learning to use AI in tasks like due diligence and document
review mirrors real-world legal practice, making students more job-ready and appealing to potential employers. For
students planning to pursue further studies, such as LLM or PhD programs, understanding AI applications in law can
be a unique and valuable research area.

III. Key Topics and Learning Outcomes


❖ Analyze the use of Predictive technology for legal analysis
➢ The participants will be able to understand the methodology for drawing conclusions from the
arguments presented by Law parties using AI tools such as CaseText and Kira Systems
❖ Describe the use of AI on Legal document automation
➢ The participants will be able to use AI-powered software like ROSS, Kira, Lex Machina, and
Hyperlex to bring down the time limitations posed in front of Legal practitioners.
❖ Compare the Advanced AI Legal Research with Traditional Doctrinal Legal Research
➢ The participants will be able to summaries research, analyzing case laws, and providing accurate
search results by filtering unnecessary information through productivity tools such as Lawgeex
