“Intellectual growth should be commence at birth and cease only at death” – Albert Einstein.

Everybody
in this world have the ability to understand and to learn different things and desires to accomplish them.
As a son of constructor whenever I was asked that what I want to become, that time I had no intentions
for becoming an engineer afterwards my interest was gradually increasing to become a petroleum
engineer it is because I usually used to smell the petrol and it attracted me a lot. The desire and curiosity
to understand that why the smell of petrol attracts me rather than other fluids I started to search for an
undergrad program after my secondary education I found out that there is a dept of Petroleum and Gas
in engineering field.

I started to search this dept in my city Quetta and was lucky enough to have this dept in BUITEMS so I
got admitted there. During my bachelor I find out that the petrol is just a small separation of crude oil.
my interest gradually started to develop in the crude oil and the reserves beneath the subsurface and
the extraction of these crude oil reserves. I worked as a trainee engineer in a Gas production field for a
month. My trainee program not only entertained me with new learnings but also helped me in my Final
year project which is “Production optimization of a tight oil reservoir using simulation models”.

Beside my education I am always ready to take part in social and physical activities. I served as a
member of SPE student chapter quetta and arranged some seminars and Quiz competition among
students. i took part in departmental games as well.

After completing my undergrad program my desires to develop more about petroleum did not stopped
me for furher studies. I want to develop more about the formations and the unconventional reserves. I
want to base my research on the production and optimization of unconventional reserves and EOR using
CO2 injection. As my previous project was based on the production optimization of tight oil using
simulations models so I believe it will help me during my MSc .

As my province Balochistan is not an educational hub and have lack of researchers and opportunities .
After my graduation I want to serve an organization named as OGDCl (oil and gas development company
limited) as an engineer. I would love to share the knowledge that I accomplish from my Graduate studies
here in universities and upcoming students who will be the future of this industry.

i have found University of stavanger as a renowned destination for education and research. The
university’s Petroleum resource technology department faculty have commenced research on such
projects which will facilitate me in my project on unconventional reserve. Under their supervisory I
believe that I will not only get knowledge but also polish my skills and make me a qualified engineer.
