4.0 PROCEDURE
4.2 FABRICATION
4.2.1 Timber used for doors shall be free from unsound knots, dead knots, or any defects.
4.2.2 All timber shall be treated for protection against wood-destroying organisms.
4.2.3 The doors shall be fabricated with precision, ensuring that all dimensions match the
approved drawings.
4.2.4 Fire-rated doors shall meet the required fire resistance standards as per the project
specifications.
4.3 INSTALLATION
4.3.1 Ensure the door frame is correctly fixed in place before installing the door.
4.3.2 Verify that the door opening aligns with the approved dimensions for proper fitment
of the door.
4.3.3 Install the door carefully, ensuring proper alignment with the frame and sufficient
clearance for smooth operation.
4.3.4 Fix the door securely, ensuring all hardware components (e.g., hinges, locks) are
properly installed and functional.
4.3.5 Ensure the door operates smoothly, including proper locking and unlocking
mechanisms.
