I. TITLE: Animation Fundamentals: A Hands-On Tutorial and Discussion,

Exploring the World of Animation Techniques, Tools, and Inspiration"
II. COLLEGE/UNIT/DIVISION: College of Education Major in Technology and
Livelihood Education
III. PROPONENT: Stefanie Cocoba,Rezzie Mae Carpuente, Erika Loberiano, John
Loiue Monares, Jennevev Remegio,Ryza Reoyan & Dolzie Tan
IV. PROJECT DURATION: 1 Day
V. PROJECT COST: 4,660 (tentative amount)
VI. RATIONALE:
This tutorial and discussion will provide students with a practical
understanding of animation principles, techniques, and software tools.
Participants will learn to create their own animated sequences and gain
valuable insights into the creative process. This Activity aims to foster a
collaborative learning environment where students can share their
ideas, learn from each other, and develop their animation skills through
hands-on practice and open discussion. It will explore the fascinating
world of animation, showcasing diverse styles and techniques.
Students will be inspired by the creativity and artistry of animation while
gaining practical knowledge to bring their own ideas to life.

VII. OBJECTIVES
The project aims to achieve the following objectives:
1. The tutorial will provide hands-on learning with beginner-friendly
animation software, guided step-by-step by the instructor, with practical
exercises designed for all skill levels.
2. This hands-on experience will give participants practical knowledge of
animation fundamentals, equipping them with the skills to animate
simple characters or objects in future projects.
3. This project will provide participants with a well-rounded understanding
of different animation styles and techniques, which is valuable for
anyone pursuing a career in animation, media, or entertainment.

VIII. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

The theoretical framework for the project "Animating Your Ideas: A Tutorial &
Discussion" draws from key concepts in animation theory, cognitive learning,
and creativity. It is based on the foundational animation principles (such as
timing, anticipation, and squash and stretch) as outlined by Disney animators,
which are essential for creating believable movement. The project also
incorporates cognitive learning theories, particularly constructivism, which
emphasizes hands-on, active learning where participants build new
knowledge by applying concepts to real tasks. Additionally, creativity theories,
like Csikszentmihalyi's concept of flow, support the idea that participants will
achieve their best creative work when fully immersed in the animation
process. Social learning theory highlights the importance of peer feedback
and group discussions, allowing participants to learn from each other’s
experiences and refine their skills. Overall, the theoretical framework
combines practical animation techniques with a focus on active, collaborative
learning to enhance both technical ability and creative expression.

IX. METHODOLOGY
Animating Your Ideas: A Tutorial & Discussion" follows a hands-on, project-
based approach where participants learn animation principles through
practical application. The process begins with an introduction to core
animation concepts, such as timing, squash and stretch, and anticipation,
which will be taught through demonstrations and examples. Participants will
then conceptualize their ideas, create storyboards, and animate a short
sequence using beginner-friendly software like Adobe Animate or Toon Boom.
Group discussions will provide opportunities for feedback, allowing
participants to refine their work based on both peer and instructor input. The
process is iterative, with participants revisiting and improving their animations
throughout the course, culminating in a final presentation of their completed
animation. This approach combines active learning, peer collaboration, and
individual feedback to ensure participants develop both technical animation
skills and creative storytelling abilities.

X. Participants of the study

The participants of this activity are the Grade 12 students of Tabawan
Integrated School and Carayman National Highschool.

XI. Description of the Technology/Innovation to be Introduced

The tutorial and discussion about Animation is aim to introduce the fascinating
world of animation. We'll explore the core principles, techniques, and tools used to
bring characters and stories to life. Which is our major subject as a BTLED Students
we want to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of animation, from its
historical roots to contemporary applications. Into the creative processes, technical
aspects, and artistic considerations that shape the art of animation. Hence, the
students will learn about this modules:

XIV. Sustainability Plan

Animating Your Ideas: A Tutorial & Discussion aims to ensure long-term
impact by creating ongoing learning opportunities and fostering a supportive
community. After the course, an online resource hub will be established,
providing access to course materials, tutorials, and further educational
resources. A dedicated alumni network will be formed to allow past
participants to share their work, collaborate on projects, and continue learning
from one another. Mentorship opportunities will be encouraged, with
experienced participants guiding newcomers in future sessions. Additionally,
partnerships with animation studios and educational institutions could provide
pathways for internships or advanced courses. The project’s growth and
continuity will be supported by regular feedback, external funding, and the
potential for expanding the curriculum to include more specialized workshops.
Through these initiatives, the course’s impact will extend beyond its initial
timeframe, creating a lasting community of animators and creators.
IVX. Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
The main purpose of this study is to provide a framework for assessing the
effectiveness in creating your own animation and to empower participants with
the knowledge, skills, and inspiration. In this way we can ensure that the series
remains relevant, engaging, and impactful. This comprehensive monitoring and
evaluation plan will help ensure that our proposal in animating your ideas is
successful in achieving it's goals and providing a valuable learning experience for
participants.
