Onboarding checklist

for new hires

Note: this is a global version of the checklist. Your onboarding team may share a more detailed local version with you.

Hello and welcome to EY!

As you begin your EY journey, this checklist has been designed to help make your transition a success. The
checklist will equip you with the important resources, information, and task reminders you need to facilitate a
smooth, knowledge-filled, and ultimately, an exceptional onboarding experience. To help track your activities, we
suggest downloading the checklists for ease of reference.

Week 1
 Pick up or request your EY office access card
 When you receive your laptop, register for Ping ID to connect to the EY network
 To keep your laptop secure, change your password the first time you log in
 Learn how to request and install applications in the EY Appstore to boost your productivity
 Create your email signature using Branding Zone and familiarize yourself with EY brand elements, toolkits and templates
 Attend Welcome to EY (WTEY); local orientation programs and service line training as required
 Review local and global onboarding resources
 Complete any local forms or compliance actions, as directed by orientation programs or communications
 Meet with your buddy and/or counselor (either via Teams or in person)
 Begin your self-study required learning via SuccessFactors Learning. Global courses for new hires are listed in All EY
Learning Hub
 Review and update personal information in SuccessFactors/Core HR (according to local requirements)
 Go to My Career Hub, our AI-powered skills platform, to complete your personal profile (see additional guidance here)
 Explore EY Technology solutions, and get to know Microsoft collaboration tools
 Visit your local Time and Expense resource pages for policies and guidance around how to record time and expenses
 Sign-up for your Benefits (if applicable). Visit your local Policies and Procedures to understand and get familiar with your
benefits.
 Order your corporate credit card (i.e., American Express), if applicable
 Review EY’s Global Code of Conduct, Social Media Guidelines and Risk Management policies. Visit Policy Finder to access
other global and local policies.
 Get familiar with your local office, Region, and service line

Month 1
 Revisit the onboarding sites and topics discussed during WTEY
 Meet with your counselor to discuss your role and expectations following LEAD, EY’s performance process
 Confirm your Sector designation
 Reminder to complete your profile in My Career Hub
 Review EY Intranet (Unily) platform as a one stop shop for all the latest EY news and set up ‘My apps and tools’ section for
easy access

 Familiarize yourself with Discover and use it to find and share insights and knowledge, to create a personalized knowledge
experience. Update your People Profile to build your digital brand and be found by colleagues. Complete Knowledge at EY
learning.
 Ensure you are familiar with Independence requirements and complete your Independence learning in SuccessFactors
 Complete required learning in SuccessFactors and attend your service line/sub-service line learning programs, if applicable
 Visit the Global Wellbeing site and learn more about local wellbeing resources
 Review EY’s travel policy and how to book a trip
 Join EY’s professional networks. Explore Viva Engage to connect with colleagues around the world and engage with
professional networks

 Learn more about EY’s elevated focus on social equity, as part of our broader DE&I work
 Complete IL4all eLearning to learn more about inclusive teaming and leadership which is a core expectation and skill for
everyone
 Provide feedback on your onboarding experience by completing the 1-month onboarding survey
 Complete any outstanding action items from week 1

Month 3
 Continue expanding your EY network by connecting with people outside your sub-service line, office location or service line
and participate in professional networking activities
 Meet with your counselor to request feedback and discuss your progress
 Recognize your key contacts for supporting your transition via local recognition sites or through the global counselor/buddy
“thank you” cards
 Learn how to protect yourself and EY from the cyber threats – bookmark the BeAware site, laugh and learn with these
Security Awareness videos and join the Security Awareness community to stay connected and informed on information
security-related topics.
 Deepen your understanding of EY culture and teaming by visiting the Transformative Leadership site and other resources
 Strive to live our values, fulfill our purpose and embrace inclusiveness – to make EY a place where differences are valued,
people feel safe to be themselves and contribute their best.
 Provide feedback on your onboarding experience by completing the 3-month onboarding survey
 Complete any outstanding action items from month 1

Month 6
 Consider updating your Discover People Profile and My Career Hub profile
 Share any knowledge or insights that you’ve created in your work with clients, on Discover. Look at the bite-size learning
videos to help you most of Discover’s features and capabilities
 Meet regularly with your counselor to discuss your progress
 Invest in your development by completing relevant learning programs. For example, Upstanding Interventions eLearning to
help equip you to intervene in situations of potential inequity. Explore EY Badges and EY Degrees
 Continue building your EY network
 Join a corporate responsibility initiative (i.e. EY Ripples)
 Learn more about how we embed sustainability into every aspect of our business
 Use these practical tips + actions to strengthen the experience of belonging for yourself and others, and to support building
work environments where people feel free to be themselves.
 Understand the role of sponsors and importance of developing sponsor relationships for career advancement
 Familarize yourself with All In Moment (AIM) - a simple, flexible team meeting practice that removes barriers so everyone can
contribute, enabling more voices to be heard and valued.
 Provide feedback on your onboarding experience by completing the 6-month onboarding survey
 Complete any outstanding action items from earlier months

Month 12
 Discuss your onboarding experience, learning opportunities, performance and career interests with your counselor
 Reminder to recognize your key contacts for supporting your transition via local recognition sites or through the global
counselor/buddy “thank you” cards
 Develop future-focused skills by starting an EY Badge
 Adhere to license and certification requirements (i.e Professional Qualification) if applicable
 Keep your network strong by establishing frequent touchpoints
 Refer a friend, if a person in your network would be good fit for an open position at EY
 Support the development and onboarding of others by taking on the counselor and/or buddy role, when possible
 Provide feedback on your onboarding experience by completing the 12-month onboarding survey
 Complete any outstanding action items from earlier months
