Dash (English Translation)

Prologue

"Of all days," Jiheon thought.

Not that he felt particularly unlucky or unfortunate—just… ironic?

Wasn’t it? A massive event like this happening on the very day of his welcome party as a
new employee.

“Soon, here at the Cairo Olympic Swimming Arena, the finals for the Men’s 200-meter
Individual Medley will begin. Representing our country is Kwon Jaekyung—ah, and right at
this moment, the athletes are entering the venue.”

Just as the announcer said, the athletes began walking in slowly. The camera panned over
the eight athletes taking off their warm-up jackets and then zoomed in on the swimmer
heading to the center lane.

A familiar face filled the large screen mounted on one wall of the bar.

The few women in the bar let out loud cheers. At one table of university students, high-
pitched squeals and the sound of feet pounding the floor rang out.

“Geez, from the noise you’d think he already won the gold medal.”

“I know, right? You’d think he broke a world record or something.”

“If he doesn’t win, it’ll be your fault for jinxing him.”

The girls didn’t care about the boys’ teasing.

“It’s fine. His face already won gold.”

“Totally. If rankings were based on looks, Jaekyung would have 24 golds by now.”

“He’d be the MVP of the Olympics.”
