CRANE ROPE
FLEX-X 19
Flex-X 19, a Category 2 rotation resistant rope, is made from 19 strands. Six
strands are laid around a core strand in one direction, and then 12 strands
are laid around this first operation in the opposite direction. Because of its
tightly compacted smooth design, Flex-X 19 offers more crushing resistance Wire Rope Diameter Approximate Weight Nominal Breaking
than standard 19 x 7 rope, higher strength- to-diameter, resistance to bending Per Foot in Pounds Strength in Tons
fatigue, exceptional stability, reduced wear to sheaves and drums, and in. mm
improved handling, operating and spooling characteristics.

CRANE ROPE
FLEX-X 6
Flex-X 6 users receive superior performance and increased service life in many applications compared to the ropes they had previously em-
ployed. When compared to conventional six strand ropes, Flex-X 6 ropes provide greater surface area and more steel per given diameter. This
increases rope stability and strength. This results in a longer service life and less sheave and drum wear.
FLEX-X 9
Flex-X 9 features compacted strands and swaging for extra drum crushing resistance and increased stability. Its high density strands deliver
extra strength and resistance to abrasion. Flex-X 9 is manufactured with a dual compaction process to produce a compact cross-section with
minimum voids and greater surface area on outer wires that contact drums, sheaves and the rope during operation. The high-density compacted
strands minimize nicking at strand-to-strand contact points. Flex-X 9 was specifically designed for boom hoist applications where drum crushing
is a challenge.
Flex-X designs reduce drum scrubbing between the lead line and the
previous wrap. The smooth contact creates less interference, less
metal loss and wire deformation. The increased surface area of Flex-X
can be seen in the comparison of the contact points of a standard
6x26WS and Flex-X as shown.

HIGH PERFORMANCE CRANE ROPE
CASAR STARLIFT XTRA
The latest high performance rotation-resistant rope designed and manufactured by CASAR
Germany, a member of WireCo WorldGroup.
CASAR® Starlift XtraTM, the new high performance rotation resistant rope, was
added to the CASAR product range to meet the highest Minimum Breaking Forces
requested in the crane rope market. CASAR Starlift Xtra provides the user unique
characteristics as a hoist rope.
Features
• Temperature range of use:–50°C to +75°C
• Suitable for multilayer spooling in Lang‘s lay
• Available in ordinary lay and Lang‘s lay
• Available in right hand and left hand
• Available in galvanized and ungalvanized
CASAR Starlift Xtra meets both the Category 1 requirements according to ASTM A1023 and the general guidance on the use of a swivel given in Annex A
ISO 21669. Due to its superior rotation resistant properties, CASAR Starlift Xtra may be used with a swivel.
Resistance to Wear
The multi-strand design of CASAR Starlift Xtra combined with compacted strands and lang lay construction helps to maximize resistance to wear by greatly
increasing wire and strand surface areas that contact sheaves and drums. Internally, the enhanced surfaces of the compacted strands help minimize
strand-to-strand nicking between strand layers. This feature results in greater resistance to fatigue.

WIRE ROPE END FITTINGS
• The 423T wedge socket terminations have a minimum efficiency rating on most high performance, high strength,
compacted strand, rotation resistant wire ropes of 80% based on the catalog breaking strength of the various
ropes.**
• Design eliminates the difficulty of properly seating the wedge with high performance wire rope into a wedge
socket termination.
• Proper application of the Super TERMINATOR eliminates the “first load” requirement of conventional wedge socket
terminations.
• S-423TW Wedge Kit can be retrofitted onto existing Crosby S-421T TERMINATOR wedge sockets.
• Wedge and accessories provided with a zinc finish.
• Meets the performance requirements of EN13411-6:2003.
• Meets or exceeds all requirements of ASME B30.26 including identification, ductility, design factor, proof load and
S-423T
temperature requirements. Importantly, these sockets meet other critical performance requirements including
fatigue life, impact properties and material traceability, not addressed by ASME B30.26.
• US Patent 8,375,527 B1.
• Basket is cast steel and individually magnetic particle inspected.
• Pin diameter and jaw opening allows wedge and socket to be used in conjunction with closed swage and spelter
sockets.
• Secures the tail or “dead end” of the wire rope to the wedge, thus eliminates loss or “punch out” of the wedge.
• Eliminates the need for an extra piece of rope, and is easily installed.
• The TERMINATOR® wedge eliminates the potential breaking off of the tail due to fatigue.
• The tail, which is secured by the base of the clip and the tension device, is left undeformed and available for reuse.
• Available with Bolt, Nut, and Cotter Pin.

WEB SLINGS
TYPE III
“EE” Web sling made with a flat loop eye on each end with loop eye opening
on same plane as the sling body. This type of sling is sometimes called: flat
eye & eye; eye & eye or double eye sling. Versatile and flexible, this sling can
be used in all three hitches (vertical, basket and choker).
TYPE IV
“TE” Web sling made with a loop eye on each end that is a at a right angle
to the plane of the sling body. This type of sling is commonly referred to as a
“twisted eye” sling. This sling is suitable for all hitches, but is recommended
particularly for choker hitch application.

WEB SLINGS
TYPE VI
Reversed Eye “RE” (return eye) slings are formed by using multiple widths of webbing held edge to edge. A
wear pad is attached on both sides of the web sling body, and on both sides of the loop eyes to form a loop
eye at each end, which is at a right angle to the plane of the web sling body. The Reversed Eye sling can be
used with all three hitch types (vertical, basket, choker), but is particularly well suited to the choker hitch due
to the “twisted eye.”

ENDLESS ROUND SLINGS
• Up to 50% lighter than conventional round slings for even better manual handling
• Up to 50% slimmer than conventional round slings
• Can be laid against tighter edge radii than conventional PES slings
• Shackle and hardware interface is therefore less crowded
• Variable load bearing point for more even wear
• Ideal for choke lifting cylindrical objects without creasing
• Less creasing means less wear
• Lifts smooth objects without damage
• High strength to weight ratio
• Reinforced high performance woven cover
• WLL data woven into sleeve for unmistakeable capacity identification
• Wide range of capacities from 10,000 to 600,000 lbs (and larger upon request)
• Available in lengths up to 98 ft
• Round Slings are repairable upon manufacturers inspection
Compact
The innovative construction with a high performance polyester fiber and a compact protective cover partially woven with the same material make the
Magnum Force Roundsling up to 50% slimmer than comparable roundslings with the same load bearing capacity. At the same time, it produces greater
stiffness within the sling along both axis. The roundsling is not bunched even in smaller crane hooks and attachment points and it is easy to suspend the
sling overhead.
Wear Resistant
Outer protective cover is reinforced with an extremely abrasion and tear resistant high performance polyester. In addition, the special design reduces
the formation of bunching at the attachment point, which again significantly improves the wear behavior. Magnum Force Roundsling exhibits the greatest
reliability and longest durability even under the harshest operating conditions – an economic factor you can count on.
Resilient
The new, high performance fiber has a significantly greater capacity. Consequently, less material is needed in the fabric, which makes the Magnum Force
Roundsling up to 50% lighter than conventional roundslings. With the same load capacity, this high performance roundsling can be laid against tighter
edge radii than conventional polyester slings. Work becomes more efficient, quicker and safer.
Compliant
Magnum Force inner load bearing core is made from the same material as the outer sleeve. This is to ensure any chemical damage indications are
consistent with both inner and outer materials. ASME B30.9-2014
Identifiable
The Magnum Force has an extra sleeve with a raised, woven-in load capacity indicator- a safety feature that has proved to be a success. The load capacity
is clearly identifiable even from a distance in the dirtiest conditions. Confusing the roundslings is therefore effectively avoided, protecting people and
material from accidents.

The following additional features have been incorporated in the new Crosby S-320N Eye Hoist Hooks.
(Sizes 3/4 metric ton Carbon through 22 metric ton Alloy.)
• Metric Rated at 5:1 Design Factor for (Carbon Steel); 5:1 Design Factor for 1t - 22t (Alloy Steel).
• Can be proof tested to 2 times the Working Load Limit.
• Low profile hook tip.
• New integrated latch (S-4320) meets the world-class standard for lifting.
• Heavy duty stamped latch interlocks with the hook tip.
• High cycle, long life spring.
• When secured with proper cotter pin through the hole in the tip of hook, meets the intent of OSHA Rule 1926.1431(g) and
1926.1501(g) for personnel hoisting.
• Hoist hooks incorporate markings forged into the product which address two (2) QUIC-CHECK® features.
• Deformation Indicators -- Two strategically placed marks, one just below the shank or eye and the other on the hook tip, which allows
for a QUIC-CHECK® measurement to determine if the throat opening has changed, thus indicating abuse or overload. To check, use a
measuring device (i.e. tape measure) to measure the distance between the marks. The marks should align to either an inch or half-inch
increment on the measuring device.
If the measurement does not meet this criteria, the hook should be inspected further for possible damage.
• Angle Indicators -- Indicates the maximum included angle which is allowed between two (2) sling legs in the hook. These indicators also
provide the opportunity to approximate other included angles between two sling legs.

RIGGING TOOLS
CROSBY IP10
The IP10 vertical lifting clamp is used for the lifting, turning, moving or vertical transfer of sheet, plates,
or fabrications from horizontal to vertical and down to horizontal (180º) as needed. Usually used as a
single point pick or when used with a spreader beam with multiple vertical drop lines.
CROSBY IPU10
The IPU10 vertical lifting clamp is used for the lifting, turning, moving or vertical transfer of sheet,
plates, or fabrications from horizontal to vertical and down to horizontal (180º) as needed. The hinged
hoisting eye allows for the clamp to place and lift the load from any direction, or with a multiple leg
sling without damaging the clamp.
CROSBY IPH10
IPH10 clamps are made for the horizontal lifting and transfer of non-sagging material. These clamps
should always be used in pairs (a minimum of two clamps per lift), and the Working Load Limits shown
below are based on one pair of clamps, not per piece. And with the exception of the two smallest
sizes, these clamps feature two great updates: 1) Magnets ensure the clamps remain in the proper
position on the plate and 2) A handle and torsion spring that combine to make the placing of the
clamp onto the plate quick, easy and safe.

RIGGING TOOLS
The “Lock Open – Lock Closed” feature facilitates attaching and removing the clamp from the plate.
Model LPA is an ergonomic vertical lifting clamp capable of turning a single plate or member from
horizontal to vertical to horizontal through a 180 degree arc. It incorporates an auxiliary push button
lock. Permits side loading of lifting shackle to 90 degrees by de-rating of clamp’s capacity. Refer to
FIGURE 1 for de-rated capacities. The “Lock Open – Lock Closed” feature facilitates attaching and
removing the clamp from the plate.
The Model LPA incorporates a pivoting shackle that permits side loading of the lifting shackle at
100 percent of rated capacity from vertical to 30 degrees, 75 percent of rated capacity between 30
and 45 degrees, and 50 percent of rated capacity between 45 and 90 degrees.

NYLON ROPE
Solid Braided Nylon Rope is provided on an easy to use reel convenient for storage.
Solid braided rope strands all travel in the same direction, clockwise or counter clock-
wise, and alternate between forming the outside and inside of the rope. This construc-
tion is popular for general purpose utility rope. As a lock stitch constructed rope with
a smooth appearance and small vertical picks, it is extremely strong and cannot be
unraveled, even when cut.
