📖 Mini Teaching (5 min)

Talk through this foundational truth:

"Teaching in the church is not a filler role. It is a spiritual calling with eternal impact. It’s a
ministry, not a duty."

Pose the question to the group:

“Are you called to this… or were you just available?”

Let that tension sit with them for a moment.

✍️Guided Reflection Exercise (10 min)

Handout Title: “Am I Called?”

Participants answer the following quietly and honestly:

1. Have I seen fruit in others when I teach?

2. Do I desire to help others know Jesus better?
3. Do I feel joy and peace when I teach?
4. Do spiritually mature people affirm this calling in me?
5. Am I depending on the Holy Spirit, or just winging it?

Prayer Prompt (written on board or screen):

“Holy Spirit, if You are calling me to teach, make it clear. If You are calling me elsewhere, give
me peace to obey.”

🤝 Small Group Activity (10 min)

Title: “Gifts and Desires”

Instructions: In groups of 3, discuss these prompts:

 What are three things you’re good at that might bless children (e.g., storytelling, drawing,
patience, explaining)?
 What do you find most exciting about the idea of teaching?
 What intimidates or makes you hesitant?

Then complete the prompt together:

“I believe I may be called to teach because…”

🔄 Whole Group Wrap-Up (5 min)

Facilitator shares this encouragement:

“God does not call the equipped. He equips the called.”

Invite a few volunteers to share their thoughts (optional).

Closing Prayer:
Invite the group to pray silently, and then close out loud, asking for boldness, discernment, and
joy in the journey.
