IMPACTOFREGULARANDIRREGULARREINFORCEDCONCRETESTRUCTUREUNDERSEISMICCONDITIONS

This conference paper presents a comparative analysis of regular and irregular reinforced concrete structures under seismic conditions, focusing on their physical behavior, storey drift, and overturning moments. The study utilizes various models of multistory buildings, including rectangular and irregular shapes, analyzed using STAAD Pro and ETABS software. Results indicate that regular structures exhibit lower storey drift compared to irregular ones, highlighting the importance of building configuration for seismic performance.

E. Overall Findings
1.80E-04 The following findings have been obtained from the Study:
Study:-
1.60E-04  The periods of vibration is maximum for the model
1.40E-04 01 (Rectangular Shape) and minimum for the
1.20E-04 model 02 (L – Shape)
1.00E-04  Frequency is maximum for the model 02 (L- (L
drift

8.00E-05 Shape) and Minimum for Model 03(C-03(C Shape). It

6.00E-05 also found that frequencies of all model are
4.00E-05 increased with increasing the number of modes.
2.00E-05  Maximum storey drift is found at X direction for
0.00E+00 the model 06 (Z – Shape) and minimum for model
0 10 20 02 (L- Shape)
 Maximum storey drift is found at Y direction for
the model 04 (T – Shape) and minimum for model
